An electrochemical device includes a cathode including a cathode current collector, a first cathode active material layer including a first cathode active material, and a second cathode active material layer including a second cathode active material. The first cathode active material layer is disposed between the cathode current collector and the second cathode active material layer, and the first cathode active material layer is formed on at least one surface of the cathode current collector. The second cathode active material is embedded in the first cathode active material layer and forms a transition layer with the first cathode active material at an interface between the first cathode active material layer and the second cathode active material layer, and a thickness of the transition layer is less than a thickness of the second cathode active material layer.

An electrochemical device includes a cathode including a cathode current collector, a first cathode active material layer including a first cathode active material, and a second cathode active material layer including a second cathode active material. The first cathode active material layer is disposed between the cathode current collector and the second cathode active material layer, and the first cathode active material layer is formed on at least one surface of the cathode current collector. The first cathode active material layer is firstly formed on the cathode current collector, and the second cathode active material layer is secondly formed on the first cathode active material layer, then the second cathode active material layer and the first cathode active material layer are pressed together.

An electrochemical device includes a cathode current collector, a first cathode active material layer, a second cathode active material layer and an insulating layer. An electrode assembly includes a cathode electrode plate, an anode electrode plate, and a separator disposed between the cathode electrode plate and the anode electrode plate. At least one of the cathode electrode plate and the anode electrode plate is an electrode plate which includes a current collector and a first conductive connector. The current collector includes an insulating layer having opposite side surfaces, a first conductive layer, a second conductive layer, and two electrode active substance layers. The first conductive layer and the second conductive layer are arranged on opposite side surfaces, and the two electrode active substance layers are coated onto the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer. The first conductive connector electrically connects the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer. The electrode assembly is formed by coiling the cathode electrode plate, the separator, and the anode electrode plate.

The present application provides an electrode, an electrochemical device, and an electronic device. The electrode includes: a current collector; a first active material layer including a first active material; and a second active material layer including a second active material; wherein the first active material layer is arranged between the current collector and the second active material layer. The first active material layer is formed on a surface of the current collector, and a particle size of 90% accumulative volume of the first active material is less than 40 &#x3bc;m. The active material layer is used in the present application to ensure that the electrochemical device and the electronic device do not generate a short circuit when pressed by an external force, thereby ensuring the mechanical safety performance of the electrochemical device and the electronic device.

The present application relates to a cathode, an electrochemical device and an electronic device comprising the same. The cathode comprises: a cathode current collector; a first cathode active material layer, comprising a first cathode active material; and a second cathode active material layer, comprising a second cathode active material, wherein the first cathode active material layer is disposed between the cathode current collector and the second cathode active material layer, and the first cathode active material layer is formed on at least one surface of the cathode current collector; and wherein the second cathode active material is embedded in the first cathode active material layer and forms a continuous transition layer with the first cathode active material at an interface between the first cathode active material layer and the second cathode active material layer. The technique of firstly coating two active material layers and then performing cold pressing together is adopted to lower the probability of separation of the first cathode active material layer and the second cathode active material layer, thereby enhancing the safety performance of the electrochemical device.

A negative electrode active material, a negative electrode plate and a secondary battery. The negative electrode active material comprises a chelating resin and a metal ion. The chelating resin comprises a polymer skeleton and a chelating functional group. The chelating functional group is fixedly connected to the polymer skeleton via a chemical bond. The metal ion is connected with the chelating resin by an ionic bond and/or a coordinate bond via the chelating functional group. The chelating resin further comprises a free small molecular compound containing the chelating functional group. In the chelating resin, a mass percentage of the free small molecular compound containing the chelating functional is less than or equal to 1%. The metal ion is a divalent or multivalent metal ion. When the negative electrode active material is applied to the secondary battery, the secondary battery can achieve both high coulombic efficiency and high cycle stability.

By providing a gap between the active material layer in a two-layer structure and the insulating layer in the cathode, the potential problem of the overlapping of the active material layer in a two-layer structure and the insulating layer on the cathode is alleviated, thereby ensuring that the electrochemical device cannot catch fire and lead to failure in the event of being punctured, and further ensuring the mechanical safety performance of the electrochemical device.
