A method of wireless communication performed by a first wireless communication device includes: receiving, in first sidelink (SL) resources of a shared frequency band comprising a first interlace of resource blocks (RBs) within one or more first RB-sets, a first SL communication in a first slot and a second SL communication in a second slot; and transmitting, in second SL resources of the shared frequency band comprising the one or more first RB-sets and a second interlace of RBs, a first SL feedback communication for the first SL communication and a second SL feedback communication for the second SL communication, wherein the transmitting the first SL feedback communication and the second SL feedback communication is based on a mapping of the first SL communication and the second SL communication to the second interlace of RBs in the one or more first RB-sets.

FBE-based licensed assisted sidelink access

This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support local light biasing for silicon photomultiplier (SiPM)-based photodetectors used in optical wireless communication (OWC). In a first aspect, a photodetector may include a silicon photomultipier (SiPM) having an input sensor configured to detect a light signal and an output interface configured to produce an output signal proportional to an intensity of the light signal detected at the input sensor, and a controllable light source positioned to emit a biasing light signal within a field of view of the input sensor, wherein the controllable light source is configured to emit the biasing light signal within a sensitivity range of the SiPM. When such photodetector is implemented in an OWC receiver, an analysis of the output signal allows the OWC receiver to adjust the biasing light at the controllable light source. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

A method of wireless communication performed by a sidelink user equipment (UE) may include receiving, from a base station (BS), a configuration indicating a listen-before-talk (LBT) window, wherein the configuration indicates a start and an end associated with the LBT window, performing, during the LBT window, an LBT for a channel occupancy time (COT) in a shared radio frequency band, and transmitting, to another sidelink UE, based on the LBT being successful, one or more transport blocks (TBs) during the COT.

Channel occupancy time contention grant for sidelink communications

This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for distance-based channel occupancy time (COT) sharing. In one aspect, a first device, such as a user equipment (UE), may determine an approximate distance between itself and a second device. The first device may receive a COT sharing configuration including a set of COT sharing parameters for sharing a COT of the communications link with the second device based on the distance between the two devices. The first device may determine conditions for sharing the COT based on the COT sharing configuration and the approximate distance between the two devices. Additionally, or alternatively, the first device may determine conditions for sharing the COT based on the COT sharing configuration and a power metric of communications between the two devices.

Aspects of the disclosure relate to a user equipment (UE) for establishing a sidelink communication channel and receive mapped channel state information-reference signals (CSI-RS) over a plurality of PSSCH resource blocks. Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some cases, a first user equipment (UE) may perform a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure to identify a channel occupancy time (COT). The COT may include some slots for transmitting a sidelink message and some sidelink synchronization signal block (S-SSB) slots for transmitting S-SSBs. In some examples, to fill a gap created by the S-SSB slots within the COT and thus maintain the COT across the S-SSB slots, the first UE or the second UE may transmit some signaling to provide transmissions in the S-SSB slots. For example, the first UE may transmit a padding signal, the second UE may transmit S-SSBs, or the UEs may use a gap control procedure. Upon filling the gap, the first UE may transmit a sidelink message to the second UE in slots of the COT excluding the S-SSB slots.

Maintaining channel occupancy time across sidelink synchronization signal block slots in unlicensed sidelink

A method of wireless communication performed by a first wireless communication device may maintain a channel occupancy time (COT) in a shared frequency band during at least one physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) instance. In some aspects, the method includes transmitting, in a first portion of a COT based on a listen-before talk (LBT), a first sidelink (SL) communication comprising SL communication information (SCI), the SCI indicating a second wireless communication device to transmit a signal in at least one gap symbol preceding a PSFCH resource. The method further includes receiving, from the second wireless communication device, the signal during the at least one gap symbol. The method further includes transmitting, in a second portion of the COT based on the LBT, a second SL communication, wherein the second portion of the COT is subsequent to the PSFCH resource.

Channel occupancy time (COT) maintenance for sidelink communications in unlicensed bands

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network entity via an optical wireless communication link, a first optical wireless signal using photodetectors positioned on a photodetector panel of the UE. The photodetector panel may include a hole around which the photodetectors are positioned and may be located a first distance from a curved optical device of the UE via which the first optical wireless signal is received. The UE may transmit, to the network entity via the optical wireless communication link, a second optical wireless signal using a light source of the UE that is located a second distance from the curved optical device via which the second optical wireless signal is transmitted. The second optical wireless signal may pass through the hole in the photodetector panel based on the second distance being greater than the first distance.
