According to the present disclosure, there are provided methods and devices for estimating a high-dimensional MIMO channel by expressing the MIMO channel in the form of a flow function to determine a change from an input state to an output state. This may be considered similar to a manner in which fluid dynamic problems are solved. Instead of using linearization to estimate all of the coefficients of a matrix representing a MIMO channel, a receiver may determine the MIMO channel rank by detecting leading modes in a subspace of the entire MIMO channel matrix.

A codeword is generated based on a segmentation transform and a Polarization-Adjusted Convolutional (PAC) code that includes an outer convolutional code and a polar code, and based on separate encoding of respective different segments of convolutionally encoded input bits according to the polar code. Each segment of the respective segments includes multiple bits of the convolutionally encoded input bits for which the separate encoding of the segment is independent of the separate encoding of other segments. Separate decoding may be applied to segments of such a codeword to decode convolutionally encoded input bits corresponding to the separately encoded segments of the convolutionally encoded input bits.

Method, system, and apparatus for a segmented polarization-adjusted convolutional (PAC) code

A wireless network can generate candidate signal configurations for physical transmissions to or from a user equipment (UE) in a radio environment. The generation of candidate signal configurations can be performed using a first neural network that is associated with the UE. These signal configurations can then be evaluated using a second neural network that is associated with the radio environment. The second neural network can be trained using measurements from previous physical transmissions in the radio environment. The trained second neural network generates a reward value that is associated with the candidate signal configurations. The first neural network is then trained using the reward values from the second neural network to produce improved candidate signal configurations. When a signal configuration that produces a suitable reward value is generated, this signal configuration can be used for the physical transmission in the radio environment.

A resource mapping method and apparatus are described that reduce resource mapping complexity. The method includes an access network device obtaining resource mapping information of at least one terminal, and sending the resource mapping information to the at least one terminal respectively. The resource mapping information indicates a resource element RE to which each of the at least one terminal performs mapping in each RMB in a first resource mapping block RMB set. An RE to which a first terminal performs mapping in each RMB in the first RMB set is determined based on a first interleaved sequence, and the first interleaved sequence is determined based on a base sequence. The first terminal is any one of the at least one terminal, and the first RMB set includes at least one RMB.

Systems and methods of communicating using asymmetric polar codes are provided which overcome the codeword length constraints of systems and methods of communicating that use traditional polar codes. Used herein, asymmetric polar codes refers to a polarizing linear block code of any arbitrary length that is constructed by connecting together constituent polar codes of unequal length. Asymmetric polar codes may be known by other names. In comparison to conventional solutions for variable codeword length, asymmetric polar codes may provide more flexibility, improved performance, and/or reduced complexity of decoding, encoding, or code design. The system and method provide a flexible, universal, and well-defined coding scheme and to provide sound bit-error correction performance and low decoding latency (compared with current length-compatible methods which can be used with current hardware designs). For the most part, the provided embodiments can be implemented with nearly all available current encoding/decoding polar code techniques.

Method and apparatus for wirelessly communicating over a noisy channel with a variable codeword length polar code to improve transmission capacity

This application provides a method for communicating a modulation and coding scheme (MCS). A terminal device obtains a modulation order, a code rate, or a spectral efficiency, determines an index of a reference MCS from a mapping table based on the obtained modulation order, code rate, or spectral efficiency, and reports the index of the reference MCS to a network device. The mapping table includes one or more mapping relationships between an MCS index and a modulation order, a code rate, or a spectral efficiency. The terminal device may process uplink or downlink data based on the determined MCS, thereby improving data transmission reliability.

A transmitter and receiver are provided for communication over a noisy channel in a wireless communications system. The transmitter and receiver use polar coding to provide reliability of data transmission over the noisy wireless channel. In addition, signature bits are inserted in some unreliable bit positions of the polar code. For a given codeword, the receiver with knowledge of the signature can more effectively decode the codeword. Cyclic redundancy check (CRC) bits may also included in the input vector to assist in decoding.
