An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a plurality of expansion connector modules, a power supply path switch circuit, a system load and a controller. The power supply path switch circuit includes a plurality of input ends connected to output ends of expansion connector modules respectively. The system load is coupled to the power supply path switch circuit. The controller is coupled to the expansion connector module and the power supply path switch circuit. The controller determines whether a first power supply source is coupled to one of the expansion connector modules through the expansion connector modules. When the first power supply source is connected to the one of the expansion connector modules, the controller detects the power of the first power supply source via the expansion connector module connected to the first power supply source. Then, the controller adjusts a power supply direction between the expansion connector module connected to the first power supply source and the system load according to the power of the first power supply source.

Electronic device

A charging circuit for providing a charge current sent to a battery is disclosed. The charging circuit includes a linear regulator for converting a power voltage into a first indication voltage; a voltage divider circuit for generating a frequency response to convert the first indication voltage into a second indication voltage; and a charger for providing the charge current sent to the battery when the second indication voltage is within a sensible range, wherein the power voltage is within a broad voltage range, and the first indication voltage is fixed.

Charging circuit and electronic device

A voltage regulator circuit and a control method therefor are provided. A voltage regulator circuit includes a Switching Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) voltage regulation control integrated chip (IC), a first switch, a second switch, and a voltage detector. The Switching PWM voltage regulation control IC includes a low-dropout (LDO) regulator and a PWM voltage regulator. The voltage detector detects a predetermined voltage level range of the output voltage, and generates a power good signal of the output voltage. During the startup period, the first switch is turned on, and the input voltage supplies the power source for the LDO regulator to generate a driving source required by the Switching PWM voltage regulation IC. After the startup period, the power source of the LDO regulator are switched from the input voltage to the output voltage by the first switch and the second switch.

Voltage regulator circuit and control method therefor

A power management circuit adapted for a portable electronic device is provided. The portable electronic device receives a supply voltage from a USB power supplying port through a built-in USB charging port. The power management circuit includes a USB detection unit, a voltage detection unit, and a control unit. The USB detection unit determines the type of the USB power supplying port. The voltage detection unit detects the supply voltage. The control unit configures the power consumption of the portable electronic device based on the type of the USB power supplying port and the supply voltage. When the portable electronic device initiates booting process with the USB power supplying port being the Dedication Charging Port and the supply voltage being lowered than a threshold, the control unit reduces the power consumption of the portable electronic device to maintain the supply voltage above the threshold for booting stably.

Power management circuit and method thereof

An electronic device includes a first battery, a first charging unit, a first voltage adjustment unit, a power detection module, and a first control module. The first charging unit charges the first battery according to a supply voltage and a first charging enable signal. The first voltage adjustment unit outputs a first output voltage according to the supply voltage and a first battery voltage of the first battery. The power detection module generates a power consumption information according to the first output voltage. The first control module sets a charging time according to the supply voltage and the power consumption information, in which the first control module generates the first charging enable signal to control the first charging unit to charge the first battery according to the charging time.

Charging methods of detachable electronic devices

The present disclosure illustrates a battery charging circuit, adapted for charging a rechargeable battery. The battery charging circuit includes a temperature sensing unit, a current control unit, and a charging unit. The temperature sensing unit is coupled to a temperature output pin of the rechargeable battery to output a temperature signal according to the sensed temperature of the rechargeable battery. The current control unit is coupled to the temperature sensing unit for outputting a control voltage according to the received temperature signal. The charging unit is coupled to the current control unit and outputs a charging current to charge the rechargeable battery. When temperature of the rechargeable battery exceeds a predefined temperature range, the charging unit discontinues outputting the charging current. Hence, the battery charging circuit can completely fulfill the charging requirement of the rechargeable battery thereby increase the associated charging efficiency.
