A display panel including an active device array substrate, a color filter and a display medium layer is provided. The color filter is disposed above the active device array substrate and includes a substrate and a yellowish photoresist. The yellowish photoresist is disposed between the substrate and the active device array substrate. The yellowish photoresist includes a first fluorescent material, and the optical transmittance in the optical transmitted spectrum of the yellowish photoresist corresponding to the wavelength between 600 nm and 800 nm is greater than 1. The display medium layer is disposed between the active device array substrate and the color filter.

Display panel and color filter thereof

A liquid crystal display including a backlight unit and a liquid crystal display panel is provided. The backlight unit includes an exciting light source and quantum dot remote phosphor. Spectrum of the backlight unit has relative maximum brightness peaks BL, BLand BLbetween 445 nm to 455 nm, between 528 nm to 538 nm, and between 618 nm to 628 nm, respectively. The liquid crystal display panel is disposed above the backlight unit and has a red color filter, a green color filter, a blue color filter and a yellow color filter, wherein areas of the red color filter, the green color filter, the blue color filter and the yellow color filter are AAAA, respectively. The areas AAAAsatisfy the following relationship: 0.75&#x3c;A/A&#x3c;0.85; 0.3&#x3c;A/A&#x3c;0.4; and 0.95&#x3c;A/A&#x3c;1.05.

A liquid crystal display including a backlight unit and a liquid crystal display panel is provided. A spectrum of the backlight unit has relative maximum brightness peaks at wavelength between 460 nm to 480 nm, between 505 nm to 525 nm, and between 610 nm to 630 nm. Liquid crystal display comprising red, green, blue, and yellow color filters having chromaticity on a CIE1931 chromaticity diagram

A backlight module and a liquid crystal display are disclosed. In the backlight module having a reflector base, a phosphor layer is disposed on the reflector base, and a plurality of blue light emitting diode (LEDs) are disposed above the reflector base and the phosphor layer for emitting a first light beam. An optical film is disposed above the reflector base, the phosphor layer and the blue LEDs for allowing P-polarized light of the first light beam to pass therethrough and reflecting S-polarized light of the first light beam to the phosphor layer so as to excite the phosphor layer to generate a second light beam of which the wavelengths are different from those of the first light beam. After being reflected to the optical film by the reflector base, the second light beam transmits through the optical film, and mixes with the first light beam to generate white light.
