A connector insulator for a female connector includes a plurality of U-shaped grounding terminal openings and signal terminal openings surrounded by the grounding terminal openings. A plurality of terminal modules corresponding to the grounding terminal openings and the signal terminal openings are fitted into a side of the connector insulator. Signal terminals and U-shaped grounding terminals of a male connector are fitted into the signal terminal openings and the grounding terminal openings to be electrically connected with signal pins and grounding pins of the terminal modules, respectively. Because the U-shaped grounding terminals surround the signal terminals so the connector insulator having the U-shaped grounding terminal openings provides an improved EMI shielding.

Connector insulator for female connector

A grounding terminal for electrical connector, which can reduce noise, includes a main body, a wing portion and a coupling portion. A connector insulator includes signal terminal openings and L-shaped or U-shaped grounding terminal openings. The wing portion and the coupling portion are extended from both lower side edges of the main body, respectively. Thus, the grounding terminal can be engaged with the L-shaped or U-shaped grounding terminal opening. Although the grounding terminal is not in U shape, the grounding terminal and the grounding terminal opening surround the signal terminals. Therefore, the grounding terminal still provides an EMI shielding similar to that of a conventional U-shaped grounding terminal.

Grounding terminal for electrical connector

A terminal module for a female connector has a metal grounding member and an insulating terminal base to receive the grounding member. The grounding member includes an extension portion and a contact arm corresponding to the extension portion. The extension portion is extended from an edge of the grounding member and parallel to the edge of the grounding member. The contact arm is extended from a side surface of the grounding member and away from the extension portion. When a plurality of the terminals modules is fitted into a connector insulator of the female connector, the extension portions and the contact arms of the terminal modules are contacted with each other and are electrically connected in series.

Terminal module for female connector

A female connector that is easy to be engaged with a male connector includes a connector insulator and a plurality of terminal modules inserted into the connector insulator. The terminal module includes grounding pins and fork-shaped signal pins. The signal pin has twisted pin arms and a raised arm portion. The connector insulator includes grounding terminal openings and signal terminal openings. The signal terminal opening includes a raised opening bottom, which has a slope portion and a raised portion. The twisted pin arms provide smooth surfaces to allow a signal terminal of a male connector being smoothly inserted between the pin arms. The raised arm portion, the slope portion and the raised portion allow the two pin arms keeping a distance away from each other.

Female connector

A circuit board type connector includes a connector socket and a connector plug. In the connector plug, a circuit board replaces wires or cables to transmit signals. The connector is provided with a clipping device to clip the circuit board and securely connect the connector plug with the connector socket. The clipping device includes a pair of clips, a supporting plate and a circuit board cover to securely hold the circuit board. The clip engages with a clip connection slot of the connector socket to securely connect the connector plug with the connector socket.

Circuit board type connector

A connector is assembled by providing a base and an earth terminal unit which is located to be aligned with the base and the earth terminal unit is pressed into the base to let a front end of the earth terminal unit contact an inside of the base. A casing is then provided to be in alignment with the base and then press the casing into the base. A signal terminal unit is then provided which is in alignment with the base. The signal terminal unit is then pressed into the base and a front end of the signal terminal unit contacts the inside of the base. By the method, the signal terminal unit is securely connected to the base.

Method for assembling connectors

The present invention is a portable multi-purpose universal serial bus (USB) structure, which refers to a storage unit that can be provided inside a casing and has a USB connector exposed out of one end of the casing. The casing can be a casing for a key, a vehicle anti-theft alarm, a controller of an electric roller gate, or a receiver of an entrance guard card, thereby avoiding the user from forgetting to carry said objects when going out and therefore from incurring any inconvenience.
