An opto-electronic device includes an optical engine module and an electrical socket. The optical engine module includes an optical engine, an optical transmission interface for coupling with an optical device and an electrical transmission interface, the electrical transmission interface having electrical pads. The electrical socket includes a plurality of BGA terminals, each terminal having a module-connecting end and a board-connecting end. The electrical transmission interface is removeably assembled in the electrical socket and the electrical pads contact the module-connecting ends of the electrical socket.

Integrated and sealed opto-electronic device assembly

An opto-electronic device assembly adapted for mounted on a mother board includes a case and opto-electronic devices. The case has multiple cavities opening forwards and downwards. Each opto-electronic device includes an optical engine module and an electrical socket. The optical engine module includes an optical engine, an optical transmission interface and an electrical transmission interface with electrical pads. The electrical socket has a plurality of terminals with one ends contacting with PCB and another opposite ends contacting with the electrical pads. Each electrical transmission interface is removeably assembled in the electrical sockets to complete electrical connection between the substrate and the mother board. The opto-electrical devices are received in the cavities in a condition that the optical transmission interfaces exposes to a front open of the case.

A cable connector assembly () in accordance with the present invention includes a printed circuit board () having a number of signal and ground pads () alternatively arranged at opposite front and rear ends () thereof, a conductive wire organizer () including a body portion () defining a number of through holes () and a number of ground plates () integrally extending forwardly from the body portion to electrically connecting with the ground pads of the printed circuit board, and a number of wires () protruding through the through holes of the wire organizer. Each wire includes at least one signal conductor () soldered with the signal pad of the printed circuit board, an insulator () enclosing the at least one signal conductor and a conductor layer () enclosing the insulator and electrically connecting with the wire organizer.

Cable connector assembly with improved wire organizer

A cable connector assembly () includes a printed circuit board () having a number of signal and ground pads () alternatively arranged at opposite front and rear ends thereof, a wire organizer () defining a number of through holes (), a unitary grounding member () assembled to the wire organizer and including a number of grounding plates () integrally formed therewith to electrically connect with the ground pads of the printed circuit board, and a number of wires () protruding through the through holes of the wire organizer. Each wire includes at least one signal conductor () soldered with the signal pad of the printed circuit board, an insulator () enclosing the at least one signal conductor and a ground conductor () electrically connecting with the grounding member to form ground path with the printed circuit board.

Cable connector assembly with improved grounding member

A high speed cable connector () includes a cover (), a base () and a cable assembly () mounted between the cover and the base. The cable assembly includes a cable () consisting of a plurality of lines (). Each line has a signal pair () and a ground conductor (). The signal pair includes a pair of upper and lower signal conductors (). The ground conductors are soldered to shielding plates (). The shielding plates are soldered to top and bottom faces of a rear end of a printed circuit board (PCB) (). The upper and lower signal conductors of each signal pair are soldered to the top and bottom faces of the rear end of the PCB, respectively, and located between two neighboring shielding plates, whereby cross-talk and interference between two neighboring signal pairs can be effectively suppressed and reduced. The PCB has a front end electrically connecting with contacts () for electrically engaging with a complementary connector. The cable connector further has latches () for latching with the complementary connector, and a pull tab () for releasing the latching when the pull tab is pulled.

Cable connector having improved cross-talk supressing feature

A high speed cable connector ( ) includes a cover ( ), a base ( ) and a cable assembly ( ) mounted between the cover and the base. The cable assembly includes a cable ( ) consisting of a plurality of lines ( ). Each line has a signal pair ( ) and a ground conductor ( ). The signal pair includes a pair of upper and lower signal conductors ( ). The ground conductors are soldered to shielding plates ( ). The shielding plates are soldered to top and bottom faces of a rear end of a printed circuit board (PCB) ( ). The upper and lower signal conductors of each signal pair are soldered to the top and bottom faces of the rear end of the PCB, respectively, and located between two neighboring shielding plates, whereby cross-talk and interference between two neighboring signal pairs can be effectively suppressed and reduced. The PCB has a front end electrically connecting with contacts ( ) for electrically engaging with a complementary connector. The cable connector further has latches ( ) for latching with the complementary connector, and a pull tab ( ) for releasing the latching when the pull tab is pulled.
