A distance measurement method for use in a laser range finding device to measure a distance between the laser range finding device and a target is disclosed. The method comprises the following steps. A laser signal is sent to the target in a first time point. A reflected laser signal reflected by the target is then received. A digital signal having a plurality of signal values ranging from 0 to N is obtained by sampling the reflected laser signal with a sampling signal, wherein N is an integer larger than two. A maximum signal value among the signal values is obtained. The distance is calculated according to the first time point and a second time point where the maximum signal value is generated.

Laser range finding device and distance measurement method thereof

A laser distance measuring apparatus and control method thereof includes an emitter, a first and second liquid crystal display module, a receiver, a condensing lens, and a control unit. The emitter emits measuring light. The control unit sets the first liquid crystal display module to a second state and the second liquid crystal display module to a first state to receive the reflected light. When the reflected light is larger than a predetermined value, the control unit adjusts a transmittance of the first liquid crystal display module until the reflected light is lower than the predetermined value, and calculates a distance value based on phase difference between the reference light and the reflected light.

Laser distance measuring apparatus and control method thereof

A driving device including a light emitter, a biasing circuit, a light receiver, an automatic control system, and an alternating current (AC) path is disclosed. The light emitter generates an optical signal. The biasing circuit generates a driving signal to activate the light emitter such that the light emitter operates in a working range. The light receiver detects the output power of the optical signal for generating a corresponding electrical signal. The automatic control system adjusts the driving signal according to the corresponding electrical signal such that the output power of the optical signal approaches a preset value. The AC path is coupled between the light emitter and an external signal source for receiving at least one AC modulated signal such that the light emitter generates at least one modulated optical signal.

Driving device and method

Embodiments of a distance measurement system are provided, in which a light signal generator comprises a first emission unit outputting a light beam to a target according to a first frequency-modulation signal, and a light-mixing unit generating a light mixing signal according to a second frequency-modulated signal and a reflection light beam reflected from the target. An electrical mixing unit generates an electrical mixing signal according to the first and second frequency-modulation signals, and a processing unit performs a phase difference estimation to obtain an evaluated value between the target and the distance measurement system according to the light mixing signal and the electrical mixing signal, and obtains a corresponding distance compensation value to compensate for the distance evaluated value according to an amplitude of the reflection light beam.

Systems and method for distance measurement

A distant measurement method and a distant measurement system are provided. The distant measurement method includes the following steps: emitting a first light beam and a second light beam from an emitting terminal, wherein the first light beam travels toward a target; providing a switching sequence by a switch mechanism; placing a receiving terminal to receive the first light beam reflected from the target in accordance with the switching sequence and correspondingly provide a first electrical signal, and to receive the second light beam and correspondingly provide a second electrical signal; and utilizing a controlling terminal to receive the first and second electrical signals, and calculate distance between the distant measurement system and the target in accordance with a phase differential formed between the first and second electrical signals.

Distant measurement method and distant measurement system

A tilt detector and tilt detecting method for the same are disclosed. The tilt detector includes a light-detecting unit and a light-permeable unit. The light-detecting unit includes a body, a window formed on the body, and a signal port device formed on the body. The window detects the position of a moving facula, and the signal port device outputs the facula location signal. The light-permeable unit mounted in the window and includes a chamber, an opaque fluid filled with the chamber, and a light-permeable substance formed on the opaque fluid. The window detects a facula by the light-detecting unit when a beam is emitted to the window via the light-permeable substance. Therefore, the level of a subject is detected by observing the light-permeable substance directly, and obtains the precise level by the signal outputted from the signal port device.

Tilt detector and tilt detecting method for the same

A phase measurement method is disclosed, which includes inputting a predetermined voltage to the photodiode; receiving an optical signal and transforming into an electrical signal; generating a sampled signal with a signal transforming process; determining whether the amplitude value of the sampled signal in a predetermined range or not; if the amplitude of the sampled signal is not in the predetermined amplitude range, adjusting the predetermined voltage and receiving the optical signal and judging again until the amplitude value falls into the predetermined amplitude range; if the amplitude of the sampled signal is in the predetermined amplitude range, calculating the first phase value; and judging whether the predetermined voltage adjusted or not. If the predetermined voltage has been adjusted, calculating the compensating phase value and the second phase value in accordance with the adjusted predetermined voltage.
