According to an embodiment, a method of communicating with a relay located in a wireless network includes instructing the relay when to transmit reports based on a mapping of different categories of relay reports to one or more different reporting schemes. Reports are received from the relay based on the relay report category and the corresponding reporting scheme. According to another embodiment, a method of reporting information from a relay to a network node of a wireless network includes generating different categories of reports at the relay for transmission to the network node. Automatic guard period adjustment in a base station for time division duplexed wireless communications

Method and arrangement in a base station for sending control signals to a relay node. The relay node is configured to relay a data transmission from the base station to a user equipment in a subframe. The subframe comprises a first part, dedicated for downlink transmission, a second part dedicated for uplink transmission and a separating part situated between the first part and the second part. The base station, the relay node and the user equipment are comprised in a wireless communication network configured to operate according to the Time Division Duplex TDD principle. The method comprising transmitting data to the user equipment via the relay node in the first part of the subframe and transmitting the control signals, related to the transmitted data, to the relay node in the separating part between the first part and the second part of the subframe. The present invention relates to a method in a base station () and a base station () for predicting a frequency dependent Channel State Information, CSI for scheduling and link adaptation of resource blocks of an operating bandwidth, based on frequency band CSI information related to at least one UE, the method comprising the steps receiving a wideband CSI related to UE (step), receiving a UE-selected subband CSI for a bandwidth part (step), calculating the difference: the UE-selected subband CSI for the bandwidth part minus a non UE-selected SB CSI the wideband CSI (steps), and updating a non UE-selected SB CSI for at least the bandwidth part, based on the calculated difference (steps). A faster more reliable prediction method based on UE-selected SB CSI values, is hereby achieved.

Method and arrangement in a telecommunications system

The embodiments of the present invention relate to methods and apparatuses () for coordinating interference in a telecommunications LTE based system. According to exemplary embodiments, an apparatus acting as a macro radio base station (eNB) () is configured to decide on what radio resources to schedule to its UEs and further decide on what resources to leave unutilized. Information on the decided resources is further transmitted in an interference coordinate signalling message, to at least one relay node (RN) () via at least one layer (1) control channel. The interference coordination signalling message will assist the RN () to make its own scheduling decision based on the information in the signalling message.

A method of operating a repeater in a communications system is disclosed, wherein a repeater gain to be used for the amplification of a signal is adjusted in dependence on an estimate of an interference by the repeater and by the receiver. Method and arrangement in a base station for adjusting a channel quality indicator value of a wireless transmission between the base station and a user equipment. The base station, the user equipment and a relay node are comprised in a multi-hop wireless communication system and adapted to intercommunicate in a first transmission mode and a second transmission mode. The method comprises sending a radio signal to be received by the user equipment, obtaining a measurement of the channel quality indicator value, determining if the transmission mode of the sent radio signal is different from the transmission mode of the obtained channel quality indicator value measurement, and adding a channel quality indicator offset value to the channel quality indicator value, if the transmission mode of the relay node is determined to be the first transmission mode while the channel quality indicator was measured and obtained in the second transmission mode.
