An electrical connector assembly includes a plug connector and a receptacle connector, the receptacle connector including: a receptacle housing defining a mating surface and plural passageways; and at least two receptacle power terminals and at least one receptacle signal terminal received in corresponding passageways, wherein the receptacle signal terminal is composed of two independent blanking pieces, each blanking piece comprises two elastic arms each having a contacting portion, the two blanking pieces are arranged crosswise and located in a same passageway, and the contacting portions intersect in an X shape along an inserting direction perpendicular to the mating surface, and wherein one of the two blanking pieces has a first extending portion extending opposite to the elastic arms, the other of the two blanking pieces has two second extending portions spaced with a gap, and the first extending portion goes across the gap and is sandwiched by the two second extending portions.

An electrical connector includes an insulative housing and two rows of contacts retained in the housing, and a metallic shielding plate assembled in the housing and located between the two rows of contacts wherein the shielding plate includes a pair of spring fingers extending from the front edge into the mating cavity in front of the shielding plate, and a plurality of notches located around the pair of spring fingers and equipped with barbed structures extending into the notches so as to grasp the corresponding ribs of the housing so as to stabilize the whole shielding plate in the housing.

An electrical connector includes a metallic shell and a PCB enclosed within the shell. The shell includes a base and a tongue section forwardly extending from the base, and a receiving space extending along the front-to-back direction from the base into the tongue section. The tongue section forms a pair of opposite mating faces with a plurality of openings therein to communicate with the receiving space. A plurality of ribs are formed between every adjacent openings and extend rearwardly into the receiving space in the front-to-back direction. The printed circuit board forms a plurality of notches in a front edge region to receive the corresponding ribs, respectively.

The first row of contacts as well as the second row of contacts includes a plurality of grounding contacts. First and second shielding plates stacked with each other and commonly between the first row of contacts and the second row of contacts. An electrical connector includes an insulative housing and a plurality of contacts disposed in the housing. The contacts are arranged with upper contacts in the upper row and lower contacts in the lower row. The upper contacts include the grounding contacts and the signal contacts as well as the lower contacts. A metallic shielding plate is located between the upper contacts and the lower contacts. The metallic shielding plate forms a plurality of holes. In each hole, there are upper spring beam and lower spring beam respectively contacting the front contacting sections of the grounding contacts in the upper row and in the lower row.
