A method of service capability notification including receiving a service capability of a representational state transfer (REST) client and a request for a service capability of a target client from an application server, sending the service capability of the target client to the application server in response to the request, and sending the service capability of the REST client to a notification server so that the notification server is able to provide the service capability of the REST client to the target client.

Method of service capability notification

A method of dynamically allocating media resources includes providing a plurality of microservices in a signaling server and receiving, by one of the microservices, a call message from a client capable of browser-to-browser communications. The call message includes an identifier specifying a target. The identifier is send by the microservice to a cache with a request for capability information of the target. The cache is configured to retrieve the capability information of the target using the identifier. The microservice receives the capability information of the target from the cache. The microservice sends a media resource request to a service directory server coupled to a plurality of media servers when the capability information of the target indicates that the target is not capable of browser-to-browser communications, and initiates browser-to-browser communications between the client and the target when the capability information of the target indicates the target is capable of browser-to-browser communications.

Adaptive allocation of server resources

A WebRTC system, device and method enabling a P2P communication when both ends of a communication are WebRTC enabled devices. The system and devices also enable a WebRTC client to SIP device communication. A SIP interworking function is configured to receive a SDP1 from an originating WebRTC and obtain local media information from a media interworking function. The first SIP interworking function is configured to create a SDP2 based on the SDP1 and the local media information, create a SIP message comprising a message-body field including the SDP2 and an SIP extension header field including the SDP1, and send the SIP message to an IMS or SIP server.

Method of IMS (SIP network) webRTC optimized P2P communication

A method of retrieving service capability in bulk is provided. The method includes a client sending a request to create a group of contacts whose service capability is desired to an application server. The application server sends a response to the client indicating that the group of contacts has been created. The client then sends a request to retrieve the service capability of each of the contacts within the group to the application server. The application server sends a response identifying the service capability of each of the contacts within the group to the client.

Various disclosed embodiments include methods and systems for network address translation traversal. The method comprises receiving, at a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) server, a registration message from a first user equipment (UE). The registration message includes an Interactive Connectivity Establishment (ICE) capability of the first UE, and a request that the VoIP server generate ICE parameters for the first UE when the first UE makes a call to a second UE. The ICE parameters include a Traversal Using Relays around NAT (TURN) long-term credential. The method comprises sending, from the VoIP server, the TURN long-term credential to the first UE.
