In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The UE receives a CORESET configuration specifying one or more properties of a first CORESET. The UE also determines time and frequency resource elements of the first CORESET based on the one or more properties. The UE performs blind decoding on down-link control channel candidates in a search space carried by the first CORESET to obtain a down-link control channel.

Coreset configurations

A UE determines a first DCCH resource candidate in a first CORESET on a carrier, the first DCCH resource candidate including a first set of RBs. The UE also determines a first sequence of DMRSs that are mapped, starting at a reference point, to RBs in a predetermined range within the carrier in a frequency domain, the predetermined range containing the first DCCH resource candidate in the frequency domain. The UE further determines a first reference location of the first set of RBs. The UE determines, based on the first reference location, a first set of DMRSs from the first sequence of DMRSs, the first set of DMRSs being mapped to the first set of RBs. The UE obtains a channel estimation based on the first set of DMRSs; and The UE performs blind decoding of the first DCCH resource candidate based on the channel estimation.

PDCCH DMRS mapping and coreset resource allocation

A method of UE power profile adaptation to traffic and UE power consumption characteristics based on power profile is proposed. In one preferred embodiment, hybrid of bandwidth part (BWP) and power profile is proposed. UE is configured with multiple BWPs and each BWP includes a set of power profiles. Two types of adaptation triggering can be used, a first type of trigger is based on power saving signals sent from the network, and the second type of trigger is based on timers. When the traffic characteristic for UE changes, the network can send a power saving signal to UE to trigger power profile adaptation, e.g., BWP+power profile switching. When traffic has been digested and becomes sporadic, then power profile adaptation can be triggered based on timers, e.g., a timer for BWP adaptation and another timer for power profile adaptation.

In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The UE attempts to detect a trigger event. The UE determines values of a first set of power configuration parameters when the trigger event is detected. The UE transmits or receives signals in accordance with the values of the first set of power configuration parameters.

Triggering adaptation mechanisms for UE power-saving

In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and wireless equipment are provided. The wireless equipment interleaves a first sequence of encoded bits output from an encoder and then manipulating the interleaved first sequence of encoded bits to generate a second sequence of encoded bits. The wireless equipment places the second sequence of encoded bits in a buffer. The wireless equipment selects, from the buffer, a first section of the second sequence of encoded bits for transmission. The wireless equipment interleaves the first section of encoded bits. The wireless equipment transmits the interleaved first section of encoded bits via one or more symbols.

In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The UE attempts to detect a trigger event. The UE determines values of a first set of power configuration parameters when the trigger event is detected, wherein a change in a value of each power configuration parameter in the first set of power configuration parameters affects power consumption of the first UE. The UE transmits or receives signals in accordance with the values of the first set of power configuration parameters.

A method of wireless communication of a UE is provided. The UE receives a semi-static assignment from a network, indicating each of a plurality of symbol periods in a slot being assigned as one of: a downlink symbol period, a semi-static unknown symbol period, and an uplink symbol period. The UE receives a dynamic slot format indicator (SFI), the dynamic SFI indicating M of the plurality of symbol periods being reassigned dynamically from semi-static unknown symbol periods to symbol periods not being monitored by the UE for PDCCH data. The UE determines that a CORESET of Y symbol periods contains N of the M reassigned symbol periods. The UE (1) refrains from decoding data carried in the Y symbol periods of the CORESET or (2) decodes data carried in (Y-N) symbol periods of the CORESET with exclusion of data carried in the N reassigned symbol periods of the CORESET.

UE behaviour on resource assignment collision between coreset/search space and SFI assignment

In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a user equipment (UE). The UE receives symbols in a first time slot. The first time slot includes a control region and a data region. The UE attempts to detect, when the UE is configured to detect, a group common downlink control channel carried by the received symbols. The group common downlink control channel contains common information directed to a group of UEs including the UE. When the detection is successful, the UE determines, based on the common information, at least one of (a) a first slot configuration, (b) a puncture configuration, (c) a transmission burst duration, and (d) one or more sub-regions of the control region.
