The present invention is a cardioplegic solution that demonstrates better stability in pH, particulate matter formation and osmolality but at the same time demonstrates superior ability to preserve heart functions than currently available cardioplegic solutions. The cardioplegic solution comprises potassium (K), magnesium (Mg), sodium (Na), chloride (Cl), gluconate, acetate, sulfate (SO), THAM and mannitol dissolved in water.

Stable cardioplegic solution for cardiac surgery

A surgical image pickup system utilizes an adjustable lens set and a complex lens set to change the direction of the incident light emitted from the light source and the position of the surgical site on which the incident light projects. The eyepiece and the sensor have the same field of view and the same optical axis such that first image generated by the sensor and a second image generated by the eyepiece are the same. The sensor transmits the first image to the external display for display by wireless communication. By means of the foregoing configuration, the second image which doctor utilizes the eyepiece to see and the first image which the external display displays are the same, thereby facilitating the operation of surgery.

Surgical image pickup system

The example systems, apparatus and methods use a local perfusion extracorporeal circuit (LPEC) for perfusing a local target region of a body, with a systemic perfusion extracorporeal circuit (SPEC) coupled to the core region of the vasculature using a peripheral placed loop to the body, and a control procedure to cause the local target region of the body to be at a specified pattern of temperature values that are different than the temperature of the core of the body.

Systems and methods for extracorporeal support

A novel cardiovascular stent for preventing vascular stenosis is disclosed. The basic components of the cardiovascular stent of the present invention include V-shape rib unit, multi-link unit and connective ring unit. In addition, each ring rib part is formed by a plurality of double V-shape rib units that are connected together via the bridging portions of the multi-link units. Also, each connective part comprises a plurality of connective ring units. The integrally formed stent of the present invention is formed with the ring rib parts that are connected together by the connective parts.
