A user equipment (UE) in a wireless network may receive Downlink Control Information (DCI) that schedules Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) for non-codebook-based and/or codebook-based PUSCH operation. The UE may be configured with a Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) resource set for each codebook-based operation and non-code-book-based operation. The UE may transmit using a codebook base operation in a first set of PUSCH occasions and transmit using a non-code-book-based operation in a second set of PUSCH occasions. The DCI may include multiple SRS Resource Indicator (SRI) fields pertaining to different sets of PUSCH occasions. Similarly, DCI may include information pertaining to a number of layers for precoding for a set of PUSCH occasions.

LBT adaptation, beam operation, and/or interference handling may be performed by wireless communication devices in NR above 52.6 GHZ. In an example, a wireless communications device may send information on a channel. The channel may comprise a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH), a Physical Downlink Shared Data Channel (PDSCH), or a Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH). The wireless communications device may receive, from a user equipment (UE), one or more ready to receives (RTRs). The wireless communications device may determine, based on a number of consecutive RTRs of the one or more RTRs, a listen before talk (LBT) mode. The LBT mode may be associated with staying or switching to a no receiver assistance mode or staying or switching to a receiver assistance mode.

Methods and systems of LBT adaptation and beam operation with interference handling for supporting NR above 52.6 GHz

An apparatus including a non-transitory memory including instructions stored thereon for monitoring synchronous signals and physical broadcast channels (SSBs) from a network node. The apparatus also includes a processor, operably coupled to the non-transitory memory, configured to execute a set of instructions. The instructions include configuring the apparatus for a STTC (SSB Transmission Timing Configuration). The STTC is a time interval with plural locations accommodating transmission of the SSBs. The instructions also include monitoring the STTC for the SSBs. The instructions further include determining a first one of the SSBs in a first slot of a subframe in a scheduled SSB transmission in the STTC has been transmitted at a first scheduled location, where the transmission of the first one of the SSBs is based upon confirmation of a successful Listen Before Talk (LBT) available channel prior to the scheduled SSB transmission in the STTC.

Switching between Orthogonal Multiple Access (OMA) and Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) modes of a user equipment (UE) can be determined and indicated by a gNB to a UE at an RRC connected state using one or more of the following schemes: at an RRC (Radio Resource Control) layer with an RRC configuration message, at a MAC (Medium Access Control) layer with MAC CE (MAC control element) signaling, at a PHY (Physical) layer with DCI (Downlink Control Information) signaling, jointly with RRC configuration and DCI signaling, and/or jointly with RRC configuration and MAC CE signaling. A user equipment (UE) determines sidelink resources for use in vehicle wireless communications. Initial beam establishment uses a Sidelink Synchronization Signal (SLSS), a Sidelink Channel State Information Reference Signal (SL-CSI-RS), or a Sidelink Demodulation Reference Signal (SL-DMRS). Beam refinement may then be conducted either by UEs in communication with each other, or by just one of the UEs. A base station such as a gNB may assign resources for a dedicated sidelink carrier or a shared licensed sidelink carrier, e.g., dynamically, as pre-configured by RRC, or based on activation and deactivation. In such cases, initial beam establishment and refinement may include gNB controlled beam forming at a connectionless stage, gNB controlled beam forming at connection stage with scheduling DCI transmitted to Tx UE only, or gNB controlled beam forming at connection stage with scheduling DCI transmitted to both Tx UE and Rx UE.

The exchange of resource allocation assistance information between a requester User Equipment (UE) and an assistant UE allows the requester to make better resource allocation decisions. The assistance information may include a blacklist, a whitelist, resource allocation information, a candidate resource set, and measurement information, for example. Both UEs may have an assistance configuration to assist in the exchange of resource allocation assistance information, that may be obtained from a third apparatus, such as a base station. The configuration may include information related to when to trigger assistance, identities of UEs, and types of assistance information, for example. The requester may, based on the assistance information received, modify a candidate resource set at a Medium Access Control (MAC) layer. The requester may, at the MAC layer, determine a configured sidelink grant for a selected destination using assistance information targeting this destination.
