An electronic apparatus including a touch display panel and a driver circuit is provided. The touch display panel includes a plurality of first electrodes and at least one second electrode. The plurality of first electrodes are arranged in an active area of the touch display panel, and the at least one second electrode is arranged in a border area of the touch display panel. The driver circuit is coupled to the touch display panel. The driver circuit is configured to drive the plurality of first electrodes to perform a touch sensing operation in a first period. The driver circuit is configured to drive the plurality of first electrodes and the at least one second electrode to perform a gesture sensing operation in a second period.

An electronic device including a foldable touch display panel and a driver circuit is provided. The foldable touch display panel includes a foldable substrate and a plurality of touch sensors. The foldable substrate includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion and the second portion face each other in a folded state. The driver circuit is coupled to the foldable touch display panel. The driver circuit is configured to drive the foldable touch display panel to perform a touch sensing operation in a touch sensing state. The driver circuit is configured to determine a folding angle between the first portion and the second portion according to a capacitance variation of the touch sensors in the folded state.

A control method, suitable for a controller in an interface device having capacitive sensors, includes following steps. The capacitive sensors are arranged on a plane. During a first period, the controller is configured to set the capacitive sensors as self-capacitance sensors individually. During a second period, the controller is configured to divide the capacitive sensors into at least a first group and a second group, set the first group of capacitive sensors as a mutual-capacitance transmitter and generate a pulse signal to the mutual-capacitance transmitter, set the second group of capacitive sensors as a mutual-capacitance receiver and collect a sensing signal from the mutual-capacitance receiver in response to the pulse signal.

Control method for controller of interface device with multiple sensing functions

A touch apparatus includes a touch screen and a touch controller. The touch controller is configured to process touch sensing signals received from the touch screen to generate a touch coordinate with respect to a touch event occurring on the touch screen. The touch screen includes a plurality of first touch sensing electrodes and a plurality of second touch sensing electrodes. The first touch sensing electrodes are disposed in a center area of the touch screen, wherein at least one part of the first touch sensing electrodes are rectangular. The second touch sensing electrodes are disposed in an edge area of the touch screen surrounding the center area, wherein each of the second touch sensing electrodes is corresponding to a central angle and a plurality of central angles corresponding to the plurality of second touch sensing electrodes substantially equal.

The disclosure provides a method of driving a touch panel which includes a plurality of touch sensing electrodes and a plurality of display pixels. Each of the display pixels includes a light emission element and a driving transistor. Each of the touch sensing electrodes is coupled to the light emission element of at least one of the plurality of display pixels and served as an electrode of the light emission element. The method includes transmitting a first driving signal to at least one of the touch sensing electrodes during a touch sensing period, wherein the touch sensing electrode is coupled to a first power receiving terminal of the corresponding display pixel; transmitting a first power supply voltage to the first power receiving terminal during a display period; and controlling the light emission element of the corresponding display pixel to keep turned on when the first driving signal is transmitted.

Method of driving touch panel and touch with display driver system using the same

The disclosure provides a method of driving a touch panel. The touch panel includes a plurality of touch sensing electrodes and a plurality of display pixels. Each of the plurality of display pixels includes a light emission element and a driving transistor. Each of the touch sensing electrodes is coupled to the light emission element of at least one of the plurality of display pixels. The method includes transmitting a first driving signal to at least one of the touch sensing electrodes served as an electrode of the corresponding light emission element during a touch sensing period, wherein the touch sensing electrode is coupled to a first power receiving terminal of the corresponding display pixel; and transmitting a first power supply voltage to the first power receiving terminal during a display period.

The present invention provides a method of controlling a display panel having a sensing area and a non-sensing area. The sensing area includes a plurality of fingerprint sensing pixels, each of which is coupled to at least one control line. The non-sensing area includes a plurality of dummy pixels, each of which is coupled to at least one dummy line. The method includes steps of: applying a control signal on a first control line among the at least one control line or configuring the first control line to be floating, and applying a first anti-loading driving (ALD) signal corresponding to the control signal on a first dummy line among the at least one dummy line or configuring the first dummy line to be floating.

A touch sensing device and a driving method for driving the touch sensing device are provided. The touch sensing device includes a plurality of electrodes and a driving circuit. The electrodes includes a touch sensing electrode and a force sensing electrode. During a touch sensing driving period, the driving circuit provides a first driving signal to one of the touch sensing electrode and the force sensing electrode, provides a second driving signal to another one of the touch sensing electrode and the force sensing electrode or controls the another one of the touch sensing electrode and the force sensing electrode to enter a floating state.

A touch display device including a drive chip and a touch display panel is provided. The drive chip includes a first common voltage source and a second common voltage source. The touch display panel includes a plurality of touch electrode including a plurality of rows and columns, wherein the number of columns is odd-numbered. The touch display panel includes a middle column, a first region and a second region. The middle column is interposed between the first region and the second region having the same number of touch electrodes. The touch electrodes in the first region and that in the second region are coupled to the first common voltage source and the second common voltage source respectively. The middle column is divided into a first half and a second half by a reference line. The first half and the second half have the same number of touch electrodes.

A capacitive touch panel is disclosed. A touch sensing module in its laminated structure includes same touch sensor patterns. Each touch sensor pattern includes a first electrode, a second electrode and a bridge structure. The first electrode includes a first sub-electrode&#x2dc;a fourth sub-electrode and the second electrode includes a fifth sub-electrode&#x2dc;an eighth sub-electrode formed by sections of conductive material having different slopes. First sub-electrode and second sub-electrode are symmetrical to a first direction of a first axis; third sub-electrode and fourth sub-electrode are symmetrical to a second direction of first axis. Fifth sub-electrode and sixth sub-electrode are symmetrical to a third direction of a second axis; seventh sub-electrode and eighth sub-electrode are symmetrical to a fourth direction of second axis. The bridge structure disposed at intersection of first axis and second axis bridges second electrode and provides insulation between second electrode and first electrode.

Capacitive touch panel

An in-cell touch panel and its trace layout are disclosed. The in-cell touch panel includes a plurality of pixels. Each pixel has a laminated structure bottom-up including a substrate, a TFT layer, a liquid crystal layer, a color filter layer, and a glass layer. The TFT layer is disposed on the substrate. A first conductive layer and a second conductive layer are integrated in the TFT layer. The liquid crystal layer is disposed on the TFT layer. The color filter layer is disposed on the liquid crystal layer. The glass layer is disposed on the color filter layer. The design of touch sensing electrodes and their trace layout in the in-cell touch panel of the application is simple and it can effectively reduce cost and reduce the RC loading of a common electrode.

In-cell touch panel and trace layout thereof

An in-cell mutual-capacitive touch panel is disclosed. The in-cell mutual-capacitive touch panel includes a plurality of pixels. A laminated structure of each pixel includes a substrate, a TFT layer, a liquid crystal layer, a color filter layer and a glass layer. The TFT layer is disposed on the substrate. A first conductive layer and a common electrode are disposed in the TFT layer. The first conductive layer is arranged in mesh type or only arranged along a first direction in an active area of the in-cell mutual-capacitive touch panel. The liquid crystal layer is disposed above the TFT layer. The color filter layer is disposed above the liquid crystal layer. The glass layer is disposed above the color filter layer.

In-cell mutual-capacitive touch panel

An in-cell touch panel including pixels is disclosed. A laminated structure of each pixel includes a substrate, a TFT layer, a color filter layer, at least one protrusion, a first conductive layer and a second conductive layer. The TFT layer is disposed on the substrate. The color filter layer is disposed above the TFT layer. The at least one protrusion is disposed under the color filter layer opposite to the TFT layer. The first conductive layer is disposed above the TFT layer opposite to the color filter layer. The second conductive layer is disposed on the at least one protrusion. The first conductive layer and a part of second conductive layer are electrically connected, so that the first conductive layer which is disposed near the TFT layer and not electrically connected originally can be electrically connected through the second conductive layer disposed near the color filter layer.
