A navigation method includes steps of: repeatedly emitting, by a wheel speed sensor, a pulse signal to a processor of a vehicle when the vehicle starts to travel from a start point of a route of a map; in response to receipt of a preset number of the pulse signals transmitting, by the processor, the preset number of the pulse signals to a portable device; calculating, by the portable device, a current position of the vehicle on the map based on a distance associated with the preset number of the pulse signals; and transmitting, by the portable device, data of the map having the current position to the processor so as to display the same.

Navigation method and navigation system

A dashboard device of a vehicle includes a storage component and a processor. The storage component stores a plurality of different language packs and a first national table listing a first number of unique language indices associated respectively with the language packs. The processor is coupled to the storage component and is programmed to, in response to receipt of a machine code and a second number related to another plurality of unique language indices from a portable electronic device, use one of the language packs to set language used on the dashboard device based on content of the machine code and a relationship between the first and second numbers.

A vehicle dashboard structure is provided. A steering unit of a vehicle is provided with a screen-included dashboard. The screen-included dashboard includes a screen-based display zone, which is operable to display different message modes. The steering unit includes a steering grip, which is provided with a control operator seat, which is provided with a control operator module that is operable to control the screen-based display zone for switching of the different message displaying mode. A power management method for a vehicle is provided, and includes: upon a power switch of the vehicle being switched from a conductive state to a non-conductive state, controlling an electrical system of the vehicle to temporarily supply a wireless communication module of the vehicle with electric power and activating a timer; determining whether an elapsed time has reached a predetermined duration according to the timer; when the determination is affirmative, controlling the electrical system to stop supplying electric power; and when the determination is negative, controlling the timer to stop timing upon the power switch being switched from the non-conductive state to the activated state.

Power management method and device

A method for pairing authentication between a vehicle and a mobile device is proposed. After a host computer of the vehicle is operated to send out a vehicle identification code for pairing and the mobile device is operated to select the vehicle identification code, the host computer enables both of a host display of the vehicle and the mobile device to display a pairing code at the same time. After a pairing procedure is performed within a predetermined pairing operation period, the host computer completes pairing authentication between the host computer and the mobile device.

A method to be implemented by a vehicle capable of communication with a portable electronic device is shown. The vehicle includes an electrical system including a power switch, and an indicating system including a processor, a wireless transmission module and an indicating unit. The method includes: controlling the electrical system to temporarily provide electric power to the indicating system when the power switch is switched from a conductive state to a non-conductive state; determining whether a wireless connection is established between the portable electronic device and the wireless transmission module. When it is determined that the wireless connection is established, activating the indicating unit to output an indication signal.

Method and indicating system for a vehicle

A method includes steps of: establishing a wireless connection between a dashboard device of a vehicle and a mobile device; recording a position of the mobile device as an entry of recorded position data at predetermined time intervals; transmitting a notification signal to the mobile device via the wireless connection to enable the mobile device to make a determination as to whether the mobile device is currently able to receive a positioning signal; and determining the position of the mobile device based on the positioning signal to serve as the last position of the vehicle in the affirmative, and determining the last position of the vehicle based on a latest entry of the recorded position data when otherwise.
