A method for forming a semiconductor structure includes following operations. First fins are formed in a first region of a substrate, and second fins are formed in a second region of the substrate. Widths of the first fins are greater than widths of the second fins. An isolation structure is formed over the substrate. A first ion implantation is performed on the first fins. A portion of the isolation structure is removed to expose a portion of each first fin and a portion of each second fin. The widths of the first fins are equal to or less than the widths of the second fins after the removing of the portion of the isolation structure. A 3D capacitor is formed in the first region, and a FinFET device is formed in the second region. The 3D capacitor includes the first fins, and the FinFET device includes the second fins.

Semiconductor structure including 3D capacitor and method for forming the same

A method and apparatus for minimizing silicon germanium facets in planar metal oxide semiconductor structures is disclosed. For example, a device fabricated according to the method may include a semiconductor substrate, a plurality of gate stacks formed on the substrate, a plurality of source/drain regions formed from silicon germanium, and a shallow trench isolation region positioned between two source/drain regions of the plurality of source/drain regions. Each source/drain region of the plurality of source/drain regions is positioned adjacent to at least one gate stack of the plurality of gate stacks. Moreover, the shallow trench isolation region forms a trench in the substrate without intersecting the two source/drain regions.

Minimization of silicon germanium facets in planar metal oxide semiconductor structures

An antenna structure of reduced size but operating at multiple frequencies, applied to an electronic device, includes a housing, a system ground plane, and a first feed point. The housing has at least one portion made of metal material and defines a first gap and a second gap. The housing between the first gap and the second gap forms a first radiation portion. The system ground plane is positioned in the housing and defines a first slit. The first slit corresponds to the first radiation portion and communicates with the second gap. The first feed point is positioned on the first radiation portion and is electrically connected to a first feed source for feeding current and signal to the first radiation portion.

Antenna structure and electronic device using same

An antenna structure of reduced size but able to cover first, second, and third LTE-A bands together with WI-FI and BLUETOOTH frequencies includes a metal frame defining at least two gaps. The gaps extend and pass completely through the metal frame, and divide the metal frame into radiating portions. At least one feeding portion is electrically coupled to each radiating portion. Each radiating portion can simultaneously activate first, second, and third operating modes for the radiation of signals in first, second, and third frequency bands.

Antenna and wireless communication device using the same

An antenna structure includes a housing, a feeding portion, and a connecting portion. The housing defines a gap and a groove. The housing forms a radiating portion and a coupling portion through the gap and the groove. A portion of the housing between the feeding portion and the gap forms a first radiating section. The connecting portion is electrically connected to one end of the coupling portion adjacent to the gap. When the feeding portion supplies current, the current flows through the feeding portion and the first radiating section, and is coupled to the connecting portion through the gap to activate a first operating mode. When the feeding portion supplies current, the current flows through the feeding portion and the first radiating section, and is coupled to the coupling portion through the gap to activate a second operating mode.

An antenna structure includes a housing, a first feed source, a ground portion, a radiator, and a second feed source. The housing includes a front frame, a backboard, and a side frame. The side frame defines a slot. The front frame defines a first gap, a second gap, and a groove. A radiating portion and a coupling portion are divided from the housing by the slot, the first gap, the second gap, and the groove. The first feed source is electrically connected to the radiating portion. One end of the ground portion is electrically connected to the radiating portion and another end of the ground portion is grounded. The radiator is coupled with and apart from the coupling portion. The second feed source is electrically connected to the radiator and a current from the second feed source is coupled to the coupling portion through the radiator.

An antenna structure includes a housing, four feed sources, a first radiator, a second radiator, and a third radiator. The housing includes a first radiating portion and a second radiating portion. The first to third radiators are positioned in the housing. The first radiator is spaced apart from the second radiator. The four feed sources respectively connect to the first radiating portion, the second radiating portion, the first radiator, and the third radiator. The first radiating portion activates a first operation mode and a second operation mode. The second radiating portion activates a third operation mode. The first to third radiators activate a fourth operation mode, a fifth operation mode, and a sixth operation mode.

An antenna structure includes a metallic member and an extending section. The metallic member includes a front frame, a backboard, and a side frame. The side frame defines a slot. The front frame defines a first gap and a second gap communicating with the slot and extending across the front frame. A portion of the front frame between the first gap and the second gap forms a radiating section. Current enters the first radiating section from the first feed portion and flows through the first radiating section and towards the first gap and the second gap to generate radiation signals in a first frequency band and a second frequency band; the current flows through the extending section to generate radiation signals in a third frequency band. A wireless communication device using the antenna structure is provided.

An antenna structure includes a metallic member including a front frame and a side frame. The side frame defines a slot. The front frame defines a second gap and a third gap communicating with the slot and extending across the front frame. A portion of the front frame between the second gap and the third gap forms a first radiating section. Current enters the first radiating section from the first feed portion, flows through the first radiating section and towards the second gap to generate radiation signals in a first frequency band, flows through the first radiating section and towards the third gap to generate radiation signals in a second frequency band, and flows through the first radiating section and towards the second gap and the third gap to generate radiation signals in a third frequency band. A wireless communication device using the antenna structure is provided.

An antenna structure includes a metal member, a first antenna, a second antenna, a third antenna, and a fourth antenna. A gap is defined on the metal member to divide the metal member into a first frame assembly and a second frame assembly. The first frame assembly and the second frame assembly cooperatively form a receiving space for accommodating at least one electronic element. The first antenna, the second antenna, the third antenna, and the fourth antenna are received in the receiving space. The first antenna is electronically connected to the first frame assembly of the metal member. The third antenna and the fourth antenna are both electronically connected to the second frame assembly of the metal member.

An antenna structure includes a feed end, a ground end, a first radiator, a second radiator, and a third radiator. Both of the first radiator and the second radiator are connected to the feed end. The second radiator includes a first connection section and a second connection section. The third radiator is connected to the ground end, and includes a first coupling section separated from the first connection section and a second coupling section separated from the second connection section. A first gap is defined between the first coupling section and the first connection section; and a second gap is defined between the second coupling section and the second connection section.

An antenna structure includes a feed portion, a ground portion, at least one metallic portion, and a radiating portion. The ground portion is spaced apart from the feed portion. The least one metallic portion is electrically connected to the ground portion. The radiating portion has a first end electrically connected to the feed portion and a second end electrically connected to the at least one metallic portion.

An antenna structure includes a radiation body, a grounding portion, a feeding portion, and a variable capacitor. The grounding portion is coupled to the radiation body and is configured to couple to ground. The feeding portion is coupled between the radiation body and the variable capacitor, the feeding portion is configured to receive feeding signals via the variable capacitor.

Antenna structure and wireless communication device employing same

An antenna assembly is used in a wireless communication device, the wireless communication device includes a main body and a circuit board received within the main body. The antenna assembly includes a first antenna unit located in the main body, a feed point and a second antenna unit. The feed point is electrically connected to the circuit board and the first antenna unit. One part of the second antenna unit is exposed from the main body, the other part of the second antenna unit is located within the main body and produces resonance with the first antenna unit to receive and transmit radio signals. The antenna assembly can occupy small space in the wireless communication device and reduce coupled interference of other electronic components on the antenna assembly.
