A method for vertically positioning an examinee may include obtaining a position of an examination table after placement of an examinee is completed; determining a measurement range that is corresponding to a to-be-examined organ and that is on the examination table; during movement of the examination table toward a scanner gantry, causing the sensor to start to measure a distance to the examinee and obtaining a height of the examination table while the sensor performs measurement; calculating an organ center height (e.g., average height) based on a measurement result of the sensor, the height of the sensor, and the height of the examination table; and adjusting the height of the examination table based on the organ center height, so that the adjusted organ center height is equal to the isocenter height of the scanner gantry to minimize a radiation dose and improve CT imaging quality.

The present disclosure is directed to enhancing a lumen display in a CT sectional image of a blood vessel. The CT sectional image may be displayed with a first window level. An average CT value of lumen sections near the heart may be obtained, and a highest CT value of a section of a current blood vessel may also be obtained. A window level may be determined based on the average CT value and the highest CT value. At least a part of the section of the current blood vessel may then be displayed with the window level. The techniques allow for a window level to be preset to enhance lumen display and to improve the consistency of delineating the lumen contour, thereby avoiding deviations caused by subjective selection while saving time and improving patient flow.

A first measurement signal is acquired based upon of the first instance of air scanning, when the single-slot collimating plate moves a predetermined distance from a starting position to a first position in a first direction of the Z axis. A second measurement signal is acquired based upon the second instance of air scanning, when the single-slot collimating plate moves a predetermined distance from the starting position to a second position in the direction opposite to the first direction. A composite measurement signal and a composite air calibration signal are determined based upon the first measurement signal and the second measurement signal. The composite measurement signal is calibrated using the composite air calibration signal. The target position of the single-slot collimating plate is determined based upon the calibrated composite measurement signal.

In a medical image generation method, projection data of a scanned object is acquired during rotation of a radiographic source, and a scout image of the scanned object is generated in one scanning direction using corresponding projection data in two opposite scanning directions in the projection data. The scanning direction is used to represent a relative position relationship between the radiographic source and the scanned object. Using projection data in two opposite directions to generate a scout image in one direction during rotary scanning of a radiographic source can significantly shorten the generation time of the scout image.
