A stereoscopic image display apparatus includes a display module, a backlight module, and an image algorithm. The display module includes a display surface. The display module is configured to turn on a plurality of pixels that are required to be used and turn off a plurality of pixels that are not required to be used. The backlight module is disposed at one side of the display module away from the display surface. The backlight module includes a plurality of light sources. A plurality of un-reconstructed images displayed by the display surface are configured to be reassembled into a plurality of integrated images to form a plurality of stereoscopic images through the light sources and the pixels that are required to be used.

Stereoscopic image display apparatus

A display device includes a display panel, a light source module and a control unit. The display panel includes plural display areas. The light source module includes plural light source units. The light source units are configured to output plural light beams to illuminate the display areas of the display panel. The control unit is coupled to the light source module and configured to receive a frame data. The frame data includes plural subframe data, and the subframe data are displayed on the display areas. The control unit is further configured to control a first light source unit of the light source units to adjust a brightness corresponding to a first color of a first light beam of the light beams according to a ratio of the first color. The ratio of the first color is related to a first subframe data of the subframe data.

Display device

An optical element configured to allow an image beam passing through is provided. The optical element includes a first and a second birefringent layer and a gas layer between the first and the second birefringent layer. An extension direction of the gas layer is inclined with respect to an extension direction of the optical element, wherein the image beam passes through the first birefringent layer, the gas layer and the second birefringent layer in sequence. A first and a second sub image beam having different deflection angles are generated from the image beam when the image beam enters the gas layer. After the first and the second sub image beam are emitted from the second birefringent layer, a transmission path of the first and the second sub image beam are offset from each other by an offset distance, thereby improving resolution of an image to be viewed.

Optical element and display device

An electronic product with a stereoscopic display device includes a main body and a stereoscopic display device. The main body includes a housing and a circuit unit. The circuit unit is disposed in the housing. The housing has an accommodating slot. The stereoscopic display device is disposed in the accommodating slot. The stereoscopic display device includes a flat panel display, a lens array layer and a microstructure layer. The lens array layer is disposed on a display surface of the flat panel display. The lens array layer is configured to adjust light field. The microstructure layer is disposed on the lens array layer. The microstructure layer is configured to modulate a direction of light. The stereoscopic display device is configured to display a stereo image that is floating in mid-air. Accordingly, a user can naturally see the stereo image floating in mid-air at an oblique viewing angle.

Electronic product with stereoscopic display device

An image display device includes a flat panel display, a lens array layer, and a microstructure dynamic optical layer. The lens array layer is located at a side of a display surface of the flat panel display, and can adjust light field. The microstructure dynamic optical layer is located at the side of the display surface of the flat panel display, and can be switched to have a microstructure function or not to have the microstructure function. When being switched to have the microstructure function, the microstructure dynamic optical layer can modulate a direction of light emitted from the flat panel display. Accordingly, the image display device can display a 3D dimensional image floating in mid-air, and enables a user to see the 3D dimensional image at an oblique viewing angle. The image display device can be used in different ways according to practical applications.

Image display device

A near-eye display device including a display panel, a liquid crystal layer, and a lens element is provided. The liquid crystal layer is disposed adjacent to the display panel and disposed between the display panel and the lens element. The display panel is configured to provide an image light beam to pass through the liquid crystal layer. At least a portion of the liquid crystal layer is configured to modulate the image light beam according to the phase modulation. Phase modulation occurs to at least a portion of the liquid crystal layer to modulate the image light beam, and the lens element is a micro lens array.

Near-eye display device with phase modulation

A near-eye augmented reality device includes an imaging unit including a plurality of imaging portions having birefringence and positive diopter, a lighting unit, and a polarization-control unit. The lighting unit is spaced apart from the imaging unit, and includes a base plate and a plurality of pixel modules. The base plate has a first surface proximal to the imaging unit, and an opposite second surface. Each of the pixel modules is operative to produce an imaging light directed towards the imaging unit. The polarization-control unit is operative to control polarization states of the image light and an ambient light.

Near-eye augmented reality device

A stereo image display apparatus includes a display device, a lens array layer and a directional structure. The display device includes display surface and an image algorithm unit. The lens array layer is disposed adjacent to the display surface of the display device. The lens array layer includes a plurality of lenses. The directional structure disposed between the display device and the lens array layer or disposed on the lens array layer. The directional structure enables light generated by the display device to emit directionally, and the lens array layer is configured to reconstruct an un-reconstructed image displayed by the display surface as an integral image to produce a stereo image, so that a better stereo image display effect can be provided.

Stereo image display apparatus

The processing system includes: a sensor module configured to obtain a first image including a first reflected view of an input object within a sensing region associated with an input surface; and a determination module configured to: determine a first position of the input object within the first image; and determine a distance of the input object from the input surface using the first position.

3D interactive system

The disclosure is related to a method for rendering a three-dimensional image, an imaging method and a system. The system receives three-dimensional image information regarding. A reference image with respect to the three-dimensional image can be created based on the information. According to the physical information relating to multiple optical elements of a display device, an element image corresponding to each optical element is calculated. The multiple elements images corresponding to the multiple optical elements render an integral image. The integral image is used to render the three-dimensional image through the multiple optical elements. In one embodiment, the optical element is a lens set. The integral image is inputted to a display driving unit of the display device so as to render the element image for every lens set. The display device then displays the integral image so as to from the three-dimensional image through a lens array.

Method for rendering three-dimensional image, imaging method and system

The disclosure is related to a method for tuning a three-dimensional image, and a display apparatus thereof. In the method, an integral image composed of multiple element images and used to reproduce a three-dimensional image is obtained. The pixel values of every element image are extracted. Depending on hardware configuration, a certain range of the pixels within one-dimensional pixels of the element image are selected. The pixel values of the selected pixels are filled in the zones divided from the one-dimensional pixels in an ascending order or a descending order, and/or with continuously-duplicate values according to pixel numbers of the selected pixels. A new element image is therefore formed. By repeating these steps, a new integral image can be created. This new integral image effectively reduces the difference between the image regions and won't make a viewer see the uncomfortable three-dimensional image due to the excessively large difference.

Method for tuning a three-dimensional image and a display apparatus thereof

A color sequential image method for displaying images using two color fields includes analyzing and sorting percentages of a plurality of colors constituting an input color image, in which a first color possesses a most percentage, a second color possesses a middle percentage, and a third color possesses a third percentage. The method further includes forming a first color field image according to the first color and the third color, and a second color field image according to the second color and the third color.

Color sequential image method and system thereof

Visual or photic stimuli generating methods, devices and control systems for inducing steady-state visual evoked potential (SSVEP) from human viewers without causing discomfort to the viewers or distorting the embedding images are disclosed. The control system includes a stimuli-generating device and an electroencephalography (EEG) sensing device. The stimuli-generating device includes a first and a second light source. The first light source generates a flickering light with a first wavelength while a second light source generates another flickering light with one or more wavelength(s) differ from that of the first one. Together, the light sources generate visual/photic stimuli flickering above their critical flicker fusion threshold while maintaining the colorfulness and hue of the embedding images. At least one electrode of the EEG sensing device is connected to each viewer, configured to receive and analyze his/her EEG signals in order to detect and determine his/her responses to the stimuli.

Stimuli generating methods, devices and control systems to induce visual evoked potentials using imperceptible flickering multi-color lights

A display method and a display device are disclosed herein. The display method includes the following steps: analyzing an input image to obtain a plurality of first backlight control signals and a plurality of first liquid crystal control signals; generating image edge information associated with the input image; generating, according to the image edge information, at least one second backlight control signal and at least one target liquid crystal control signal that are associated with the image edge information; and displaying, according to the at least one second backlight control signal and the at least one target liquid crystal control signal, at least one multi-color sub-frame.

Display method and display device

A stereoscopic display comprises a flat-panel display and an optical layer disposed thereon. The optical layer further includes a lens array layer and a micro-structure layer. The flat-panel display has a display plane. The lens array layer has a base and a plurality of lens with focusing function. The lens array layer adjusts the light field. The micro-structure layer connects to the lens array layer, and includes a substrate and a plurality of micro structures. The micro-structure layer modulates the direction of light so that a stereo image which allows an oblique angle of view natural to the user is displayed.
