The translation time is compared to a predetermined time. Dynamic storing of the flash translation layer is initialized. And, the flash translation layer is moved to the shared memory to increase efficiency.

A method of adjusting gain balance of an optical transducer includes the following steps. First, two external gains are predetermined. Next, the projection position of a reflection spot is adjusted toward one side of the optical transducer, and the current output values of the optical transducer each corresponding to one of the external gains are measured, respectively. Next, the projection position of the reflection spot is adjusted toward the other side of the optical transducer, and the current output values of the optical transducer each corresponding to one of the external gains are measured, respectively. Then, a gain balance value of the optical transducer is adjusted, and is set as the external gain. Next, the projection position of the reflection spot is adjusted. Finally, the projection position of the reflection spot, where the current output value of the transducer is equal to 0, is locked to complete the adjustment rapidly.

A method for controlling laser power of an optical disk drive is provided. Firstly, a power-controlling curve of a first loop circuit is formed according to a real test. Next, two test points are selected from the power-controlling curve. Then, the voltage outputted from a second loop circuit is adjusted. After that, whether the generated internal power signal is equal to the internal power signal of the two test points is checked. Afterwards, the voltage outputted from the second loop circuit is recorded. Then, the gain of the two loop circuits under the same change of the internal power signal is calculated. Lastly, a gained power-controlling curve of the first loop circuit is used as a power-controlling curve of the second loop circuit, such that the power-controlling curve is quickly obtained.

Method for controlling power of an optical disk drive

A method for labeling an optical disc includes the following steps: receiving a command of a light scribe application program of a host to start labeling, reading an indication area of the optical disc to obtain information of labeling, transmitting the information of labeling to the host, and planning blocks capable of being labeled in the drawing area of the optical disc by the host. If planning the blocks capable of being labeled fails, labeling stops; and if planning the blocks capable of being labeled is successful, the drawing area of the optical disc is labeled, an indication is recorded at the indication area of the optical disc corresponding to the labeled block, and labeling then stops.
