Polyethylene composition for high pressure resistant pipes with improved homogeneity

A polyethylene-polypropylene composition obtainable by blending a) 80 to 97 wt.-% of a blend (A) comprising A-1) polypropylene and A-2) polyethylene, wherein the weight ratio of polypropylene to polyethylene is from 3:7 to 7:3, and wherein blend (A) is a recycled material, which is recovered from a waste plastic material derived from post-consumer and/or industrial waste; and b) 3 to 20 wt.-% of a compatibilizer (B) being a C2C8 plastomer, having—a DSC melting point of below 75° C. The present invention is directed to a polyethylene-polypropylene composition comprising a blend (A) being a recycled material, said blend comprising polypropylene and polyethylene, and a compatibilizer (B) being a CCCterpolymer. Further, the present invention is directed to an article comprising said polyethylene-polypropylene composition and a process for preparing said polyethylene-polypropylene composition. The present invention is also directed to the use of a compatibilizer (B) being a CCCterpolymer for improving the impact-stiffness balance and the morphology of the blend (A).

The present invention relates to a cable jacket composition comprising a multimodal olefin copolymer, said copolymer having density of 0.935-0.960 g/cmand MFRof 2.2-10.0 g/10 min and said composition having ESCR of at least 2000 hours and a cable shrinkage of 0.70% or lower. Recycled polyethylene-polypropylene blends comprising a compatibilizer

The present invention is directed to a polyolefin composition comprising a blend of a heterophasic polypropylene composition and 5.0 to 30.0 wt % of an ethylene homo- or copolymer, the ethylene homo- or copolymer having a density of at least 941 kg/mand a melt flow rate MFRof 1 to 10 g/10 min. The heterophasic polypropylene composition comprises a propylene homopolymer or a propylene ethylene random copolymer and an elastomeric ethylene propylene rubber, and is characterized by 75.0 to 95.0 wt % of a crystalline fraction having an ethylene content of up to 4.0 wt % and an MFRof 0.1 to 100 g/10 min, and 5.0 to 25.0 wt % of a soluble fraction having an ethylene content of 10.0 to 70.0 wt % and an intrinsic viscosity of 1.0 to 4.0 dl/kg, wherein the crystalline fraction and the soluble fraction are determined in 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene at 40&#xb0; C.

Polyolefin composition with improved balance of properties

A polymer composition comprising a base resin is disclosed herein. The base resin includes a very high molecular weight polyethylene component, a low molecular weight polyethylene component having a weight average molecular weight lower than a weight average molecular weight of the very high molecular weight component and a high molecular weight component having a weight average molecular weight higher than the weight average molecular weight of the low molecular weight component, but lower than the weight average molecular weight of the very high molecular weight component. The composition has a complex viscosity at 0.05 rad/s Etaof equal to or more than 800 kPa&#xb7;s, a viscosity at a shear stress of 747 Pa (eta747) of equal to or less than 34000 kPas and a melt flow rate MFR5 of equal to or less than 0.17 g/10 min.

Polymer composition and a process for production of the polymer composition

A polyethylene composition comprising a base resin is disclosed herein. The base resin includes an ethylene homo- or copolymer fraction (A1), and an ethylene homo- or copolymer fraction (A2). Fraction (A1) has a lower weight average molecular weight than fraction (A2). The base resin has a melt flow rate MFRof equal to or less than 8.0 g/10 min and a density of 930 to 950 kg/m3. The polyethylene composition has a melt flow rate MFRof 0.01 to 0.3 g/10 min, a flow rate ratio FRRof equal to or more than 20 and a ratio of the weight average molecular weight and the number average molecular weight (M/M) of equal to or less than 30. Also the polyethylene composition has a tensile modulus of less than 1000 MPa. Also a process for the production of a polyethylene composition comprising polyethylene base resin is disclosed herein.
