The present disclosure provides an electronic tester comprising at least one test fixture that couples to a device under test, at least one test instrument coupled to at least one of the test fixtures that measures signals in the device under test, a test controller that controls the device under test while the test is performed, and an adapter module comprising a general control interface that is coupled to the test controller, and a DUT-specific communication interface that couples to the device under test to communicate with the device under test, wherein the test controller controls the device under test with generic control signals sent to the general control interface, and wherein the adapter module translates the general control signals into DUT-specific control signals and transmit the DUT-specific control signals to the device under test. Further, the present disclosure provides a respective method.

Electronic tester and testing method

A test system for testing a device under test that includes several communication lanes is described. The test system is a communication lane test system that includes a measurement instrument and a connecting interface for connecting the device under test, wherein the connecting interface is configured to connect at least two of the several communication lanes with the measurement instrument. The measurement instrument includes s a processor being configured to conduct an automatic conformance test on the at least two communication lanes concurrently. Test system and method for testing a device under test having several communication lanes

A method and apparatus for maximizing the usage of a testhead of an in-circuit tester is presented. A testhead execution supervisor interfaces between a testhead controller and a graphical user interface used to enter manual tests. The testhead execution supervisor adds tests to be submitted to the testhead to one or more queues according to a priority scheme. Tests may be submitted to the testhead execution supervisor both as manual tests entered via the graphical user interface and as automatically generated tests generated by an automatic debug module. The automatic debug module may automatically generate tests for execution by the testhead that are executed when the testhead is idle, for example when no higher priority manual tests are scheduled.
