A curved backlight module includes a frame unit, a light source, and a diffuser plate. The frame unit includes a back frame, a curvature fixing member combined with the back frame, and at least one first positioning structure. The at least one first positioning structure is disposed on anyone of the back frame or the curvature fixing member. The curvature fixing member presses the diffuser plate so that at least a portion of the diffuser plate has the same curvature with the curvature fixing member. The diffuser plate has at least one second positioning structure, the at least one first positioning structure of the frame unit is combined with the at least one second positioning structure of the diffuser plate to limit the diffuser plate and simplify the structure of the positioning elements. The curvature fixing member stably maintains the curvature of the diffuser plate, thereby improving the overall structural stability and optical quality. The present invention further provides a display device including the curved backlight module.

Curved backlight module and display device

A backlight module comprises a back frame with at least one perforation, a light board arranged on the back frame, a plurality of light-emitting elements arranged on the light board at intervals, a fixing frame combined with the back frame, and a plurality of optical films stacked on the fixing frame. The light board has at least one through portion, and the position of the through portion corresponds to the at least one perforation of the back frame. A part of the fixing frame is positioned in the at least one perforation of the back frame through the at least one through portion of the light board. The effect of a narrow frame can be effectively achieved by arranging the joint part of the fixing frame and the back frame on the inner side of the back frame and forming the through portion on the edge of the light board to be engaged with the joint part of the fixing frame and the back frame. The present invention also provides a display device comprising the backlight module.

Backlight module and display device

An optical film is disclosed. The optical film is divided into a main body and two extending portions arranged along a second direction by two imaginary lines which are extended along a first direction and parallel to each other, wherein the second direction is substantially perpendicular to the first direction. The main body is located between the two extending portions. Each of the extending portions has an abutting edge. A first length Wof the main body along the first direction is greater than a second length Wof the abutting edge along the first direction.

An optical mode converter is disclosed. The optical mode converter includes a substrate and a luminescent layer on the substrate. The luminescent layer includes an optical waveguide and an inclined mirror at an end of the optical waveguide. A light signal passes through the optical waveguide and is reflected by the inclined mirror to penetrate into the substrate. A method for manufacturing the optical mode converter is also disclosed.

A digital to analog converter for fiber optic gyroscope is disclosed. The digital to analog converter for fiber optic gyroscope includes a random unit generating a random number signal, a plurality of encoding units coupled with the random unit, a plurality of control units respectively one to one coupled with the plurality of encoding units, a current source array coupled with the plurality of control units, and an output load electrically connected to the current source array. Each of the plurality of encoding units converts a plurality of digital signals to a plurality of spin signals according to the random number signal. Each of the plurality of control units converts the plurality of spin signals to a plurality of logic signals. The current source array generates a total current according to the plurality of logic signals. The total current passes through the output load and forms an analog signal.

Digital to analog converter for fiber optic gyroscope

An optical waveguide structure and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. The optical waveguide structure includes: a substrate; a first-type semiconductor conductive layer disposed on the substrate; a first confining layer disposed on the first-type semiconductor conductive layer; a waveguide layer disposed on the first confining layer and including a luminescent material; a polymer filling layer disposed on the first confining layer and adjacent to the waveguide layer, wherein the viscosity of the polymer filling layer is less than 52 mm/s; a second confining layer disposed on the waveguide layer and the polymer filling layer; a cladding layer disposed on the second confining layer; and a second-type semiconductor conductive layer disposed on the cladding layer.

Optical waveguide structure and manufacturing method thereof

A frame assembly includes a frame body and an outer frame. The frame body includes at least one side portion and at least one set of hook structure disposed on the side portion. The hook structure includes a first hook and a second hook. The first hook has a first opening. The second hook has a second opening, and a direction of the second opening is different from a direction of the first opening. The outer frame includes at least one frame unit and at least one fixing structure disposed on the frame unit. The frame unit is corresponding to the side portion of the frame body. The fixing structure is corresponding to the hook structure, and the first hook and the second hook of the hook structure are engaged with the corresponded fixing structure.

A frame assembly and a display device are provided. The frame assembly includes a back plate, a first frame and a fixing assembly. The back plate comprises at least one side edge, and the side edge has an extending direction. The first frame is combined with the back plate. The fixing assembly includes at least one first engaging structure, at least one second engaging structure and a fixing member. The first engaging structure is disposed on the at least one side edge of the back plate. The second engaging structure is disposed on at least one side edge of the first frame. The fixing member is inserted into and combined with the at least one first engaging structure and the at least one second engaging structure along the extending direction.

A coupling mechanism includes a back plate and a frame unit. The back plate is formed with at least one engaging hole. The frame unit has at least one frame body, and at least one engaging member extending from the at least one frame body, and engaging the at least one engaging hole for coupling fixedly the at least one frame body to the back plate. The at least one frame body is deformable for disengaging the at least one engaging member from the at least one engaging hole, thereby permitting removal of the at least one frame body from the back plate.

A light source assembly and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. The method for manufacturing the light source assembly includes the following steps. A back plate and a light bar are provided, in which the light bar includes a substrate and plural light emitting diodes disposed on a mounting surface of the substrate. The light bar is disposed on the back plate and a weld-processing area which includes an air interface is formed between the light bar and the back plate. The light bar and/or the back plate are/is melted by welding to form melted materials for filling the weld-processing area to fix the substrate on the back plate.

Method for manufacturing light source assembly

A method for fabricating a waveguide construction is described and has steps of: providing a layered structure by: forming a first-type InGaAsP layer on a substrate, forming a first-type InP layer on the first-type InGaAsP layer, forming an active layer containing gallium on the first-type InP layer, forming a second-type InP layer on the active layer, and forming a second-type InGaAsP layer on the second-type InP layer; forming an SiOpatterned layer having SiOregions and at least one channel facing toward a desired direction and formed between the SiOregions on the second-type InGaAsP layer; and performing a rapid thermal annealing treatment on the layered structure formed with the SiOpatterned layer. The rapid thermal annealing treatment has a treating temperature between 720&#xb0; C. and 760&#xb0; C. and a treating time between 60 and 240 seconds.

Method for fabricating waveguide construction

An optical waveguide structure and a manufacturing method thereof are disclosed. The optical waveguide structure has a first waveguide layer, a binding layer, and a second waveguide layer. The first waveguide layer has a taper portion, a connecting portion, and a strip portion. The manufacturing method of the optical waveguide structure has steps of etching to form the first waveguide layer, and then etching to form the second waveguide layer under the first waveguide layer.

A frame structure for a back light module includes a horizontal base plate, a vertical back plate that has a bottom end connected to an upper side of the base plate, and an elongated horizontal through hole formed in a predetermined zone between &#x2153; and &#xbc; of a vertical height of the back plate from the bottom end, and a heat sink that extends from the upper side of the base plate and that has a top end which is below a bottom end of the horizontal through hole. The backlight module further includes a light source disposed on the upper side of the base plate and a light guiding plate disposed to correspond in position to the light source for receiving light emitted from the light source.

A frame structure of a light module is described. The frame structure includes a rear plate including first side plates, a plastic frame and a front frame. Each first side plate is set with at least one fixing hole and includes top positioning protrusions. The plastic frame includes second side plates disposed on the first side plates. Each second side plate includes a connecting part disposed on the first side plate, at least one fixing element connected to the connecting part and lodged in the fixing hole, and positioning elements protruded on the connecting part. Each positioning element has a positioning slot. The top positioning protrusions are embedded in the positioning slots. The front frame includes side rims disposed on the second side plates. Each side rim is set with positioning holes. The positioning elements of each second side plate are embedded in the positioning holes.
