A light source module includes a light-collecting lens, a first light source unit, a first light-combining element, a second light source unit, a second light-combining element, and a third light source unit. The first, second, and third light source units are respectively configured to emit a first, second, and third light beams. The first and second light-combining elements are configured to respectively reflect the first and second light beams to the light-collecting lens disposed in a transmission path of the third light beam. An optical axis of the light-collecting lens is parallel to a first direction, and an optical axis of the first light source unit is parallel to a second direction. The first and second light source units and the first and second light-combining elements are disposed in an alternating manner in a third direction perpendicular to the first and second directions. A projection device is also provided.

Light source module and projection device

An illumination system adapted to provide an illumination light beam is provided. At a first timing, after an excitation light beam is reflected by a non-conversion reflecting region of a wavelength conversion wheel, the excitation light beam passes through a light splitting element, and is then reflected by a reflecting element, passes through the light splitting element a first lens group and a light uniformizing element in sequence, so as to output a first color light. At a second timing, a converted light beam is converted and reflected by a wavelength conversion reflecting region. A central axis of the excitation light beam reflected by the reflecting element and passing through the light splitting element and a central axis of the converted light beam reflected by the light splitting element are coincided with an optical axis of the first lens group. A projection device is also provided.

Illumination system and projection device

An illumination system including an excitation light source, a first light splitting element, a wavelength conversion element, a second light splitting element, a third light splitting element and a fourth light splitting element is provided. The excitation light source provides a light beam. The first light splitting element allows the light beam to pass through to generate a first light beam or reflects it to generate a second light beam. The wavelength conversion element is located on a light path of the first light beam. The second light splitting element allows the first light beam to pass through to be transmitted to the wavelength conversion element to generate a third light beam and reflects the third light beam. The third light splitting element reflects the second light beam. The fourth light splitting element allows the second light beam to pass through and reflects the third light beam.

Illumination system and projection apparatus

The disclosure relates to an illumination system, a projection device and an illumination control method. The illumination system includes a first sensor, a second sensor and a control module. The first sensor receives a part of an excitation beam and a part of at least one converted beam scattered by a wavelength conversion module, so as to generate a first photoelectric signal. The second sensor receives a part of a first set of color light and a part of a second set of color light scattered by a filter module, so as to generate a second photoelectric signal. The control module generates a synchronization signal based on relative intensity changes of the first and second photoelectric signals. The synchronization signal is to synchronize the wavelength conversion module with the filter module, and the first set of color light and the second set of color light sequentially form an illumination beam.

Illumination system having two sensors, projection device comprising such an illumination system and illumination control method thereof

A projection apparatus and a light source apparatus are provided. The light source apparatus includes at least one first light source, at least one second light source, a wavelength conversion device, and a filter device. The wavelength conversion device is disposed on a transmission path of the first light beam from the first light source, and converts the first light beam into a conversion light beam. The filter device corresponds to the wavelength conversion device and is disposed between the first light source and the wavelength conversion device and disposed between the second light source and the wavelength conversion device. The filter device allows the first light beam and the conversion light beam to pass through, and reflects the second light beam. The projection apparatus and the light source apparatus have favorable light source utilization efficiency.

Projection apparatus and light source apparatus having wavelength conversion device and filter device

A head-mounted display including an apparatus body including a first part and a second part connected to the first part and an image display device disposed in the apparatus body is provided. The image display device projects an image to a projection target and includes an image output element, a plurality of lens elements, a light diffuser, and an imaging element. The imaging element projects the image beam to the projection target to display the image. The lens elements include a first lens element and a second lens element. The image output element generates an intermediate image on a transmitting path of the image beam between the first and second lens elements. The light diffuser is disposed on the transmitting path of the image beam and in a predetermined interval where the intermediate image is located at the center.

Head-mounted display

An illumination system includes an excitation light source and a wavelength conversion element. The excitation light source provides an excitation beam. The wavelength conversion element has a wavelength conversion region, a reflective region, and a light transmissive region. The wavelength conversion region and the reflective region form an annular region. The light transmissive region is surrounded by the annular region, wherein the excitation beam passes through the light transmissive region of the wavelength conversion element. The illumination system of the disclosure is small in size and achieves favorable optical efficiency. A projection device including the illumination system is also provided.

A light source module includes an excitation light source providing an excitation light beam; a light guiding apparatus disposed on a light path of the excitation light beam and; a light collecting element disposed on a first transmission path and a second transmission path; a light homogenizing element disposed on the first transmission path; and a wavelength conversion element disposed on the second transmission path. The light guiding apparatus swings sequentially along a reference axis of the light path. Through the swinging action, the excitation light beam is transmitted along the first transmission path and the second transmission path at a first timing and a second timing, respectively. Then, the excitation light beam passes through the light collecting element. The light homogenizing element receives the excitation light beam. The wavelength conversion element converts the excitation light beam passing through the light collecting element into an excited light beam.

A projection device for forming an image frame on a projection screen includes a first illumination system for emitting an illumination beam, a second illumination system for emitting an ultraviolet beam, a first light valve located on a transmission path of the illumination beam and for converting the illumination beam into a visible image beam, a lens located on a transmission path of the visible image beam and the ultraviolet beam and for projecting the visible image beam onto the projection screen to form an image frame area and projecting the ultraviolet beam onto the projection screen to form an opaque area, and a processor electrically connected to the first illumination system and the second illumination system and for controlling the first illumination system to emit the illumination beam and controlling the second illumination system to emit the ultraviolet beam. The image frame area partially overlaps the opaque area.

Projection device and projection system

A projection screen for receiving a visible image beam and an ultraviolet beam from a projection device is provided. The projection screen includes a substrate, an anti-reflection layer and an anti-ultraviolet layer. The substrate includes a first surface adjacent to the projection device, a second surface away from the projection device and opposite to the first surface, a scattering reflection layer disposed between the first surface and the second surface, and an ultraviolet absorption layer disposed between the first surface and the second surface. The scattering reflection layer scatters and reflects the visible image beam. The ultraviolet absorption layer absorbs the ultraviolet beam so as to be changed from a transparent state to an opaque state. The anti-reflection layer is disposed on the first surface. The anti-ultraviolet layer is disposed at the second surface. The ultraviolet absorption layer is located between the scattering reflection layer and the anti-ultraviolet layer.

Projection screen and projection system

An illumination system includes an excitation light source group, a first dichroic device, a second dichroic device, an actuation element, and a wavelength conversion device. The excitation light source group includes a plurality of excitation light sources. Each excitation light source provides an excitation beam. The first dichroic device configures the excitation beam to pass therethrough. The second dichroic device includes a plurality of dichroic elements which are arranged at intervals and reflect the excitation beam. The actuation element configures the excitation beam to pass through the second dichroic device in a first period through intervals between the dichroic elements, and configures the excitation beam to be reflected by the dichroic element in a second period. The wavelength conversion device converts the excitation beam into a conversion beam. The invention further provides a projection device having this illumination system.

Projection device and illumination system

An optical waveguide element including a light entrance portion and a light exit portion is provided. The light entrance portion includes a first light guide layer, a second light guide layer, and at least one third light guide layer. Light entrance surfaces of the first light guide layer and the second light guide layer jointly compose a first inclined surface. Light exit surfaces of the first light guide layer and the second light guide layer jointly compose a second inclined surface. The first inclined surface and the second inclined surface are inclined relative to a bottom surface of the first light guide layer. The thickness of the light exit portion is less than the total thickness of the first light guide layer, the second light guide layer, and the at least one third light guide layer. A display device is also provided.

Optical waveguide element and display device

A head-mounted display device including a display and a beam combiner is provided. The display is configured to emit an image bean, and the beam combiner includes a plurality of stacked light-splitting layers. The light-splitting layers include a first light-splitting layer and a second light-splitting layer. The image beam is adapted to enter and exit the beam combiner through the first light-splitting layer. The first light-splitting layer is located between the second light-splitting layer and the display. The beam combiner satisfies 0.7&#x2264;R1/(T1&#xd7;R2&#xd7;T1)&#x2264;1.3. Here, R1 is light reflectivity of the first light-splitting layer, T1 is light transmittance of the first light-splitting layer, and R2 is light reflectivity of the second light-splitting layer. The head-mounted display device provided herein has advantages of usage convenience and compactness.
