A liquid crystal panel has a display region and a peripheral region surrounding the display region. The liquid crystal panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer, a first alignment layer, a second alignment layer and at least one patterned water repellent layer. The first substrate is disposed opposite to the second substrate. The liquid crystal layer is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The first alignment layer is disposed on the first substrate, and the second alignment layer is disposed on the second substrate. The patterned water repellent layer is disposed on the first substrate and/or on the second substrate. The patterned water repellent layer is disposed in the peripheral region. A thickness of the patterned water repellent layer is less than or equal to a thickness of the first alignment layer or a thickness of the second alignment layer.

Liquid crystal panel and manufacturing method thereof

A display includes a display panel and an image capture apparatus. The display panel has a display region, a peripheral region surrounding the display region, and a through hole located in the peripheral region. The image capture apparatus is assembled to the display panel. The image capture apparatus includes a signal transmission device and an image capture device located in the through hole, and the image capture device is connected to the signal transmission device.

Display having image capture apparatus

An LCD panel includes an active device array substrate having a pixel array and fan-out lines electrically connected to the pixel array, an opposite substrate disposed above the active device array substrate, a sealant disposed between the active device array substrate and the opposite substrate, and a liquid crystal layer. The sealant surrounds the pixel array. The fan-out lines extend from the pixel array. The opposite substrate has light shielding patterns connecting the sealant that covers at least a portion of each fan-out line. In a region where the sealant is distributed, a slit between any two of the adjacent light shielding patterns exclusively overlaps one of the fan-out lines, and the number of the slits is less than the number of the fan-out lines. The liquid crystal layer is disposed between the active device array substrate and the opposite substrate.

Liquid crystal display panel

An alignment material composition including an alignment material, an ultraviolet absorbent, a light stabilizer and a solvent is provided. The ultraviolet absorbent has a formula 1 shown as below: wherein X represents hydrogen, alkyl group or halogen while R1 represents benzene ring carbon long-chain derivative. The light stabilizer has a formula 2 shown as below: wherein R2 represents ester-based derivative or amine-based derivative, R3 represents hydrogen, hydroxyl group (&#x2014;OH) or alkyl group.

Alignment material composition and alignment layer

A display panel having a first region, a second region and a third region is provided. The display panel includes an active device array substrate, an opposite substrate, a display medium between the active device array substrate and the opposite substrate, and spacers arranged between the active device array substrate and the opposite substrate for maintaining a cell gap. The active device array substrate includes an active device array in the first region, a pad in the second region, a driving circuit in the third region, and a first alignment layer covering the first region, the second region and the third region. A thickness of the first alignment layer in the third region corresponding to the driving circuit is increased to be greater than those in the first region and the second region for buffering the pressure applied by the spacers.

Display panel having different thickness of alignment layers in different regions

A display panel provided with a first region and a second region includes an active device array substrate, an opposite substrate, a display medium between the active device array substrate and the opposite substrate and a conductive member. The active device array substrate includes an active device array, a pad located in the second region and a first alignment layer covering the first region and the second region. The opposite substrate includes an electrode layer and a second alignment layer covering the electrode layer. The ratio of a thickness of the first or second alignment layer in the second region to that in the first region is substantially greater than zero and less than or equal to about 0.43. The conductive member is located in the second region and corresponding to the pad and penetrates the first alignment layer and the second alignment layer to connect the electrode layer and the pad.
