An over-voltage protection circuit includes an over-voltage detection circuit, a voltage generator and a switch for providing over-voltage protection between two pins of a USB Type-C port. The over-voltage detection circuit provides an over-voltage signal according to the level of the second pin. The switch includes a first end coupled to the first pin, a second end coupled to the second pin and a control end coupled to a control signal. When the over-voltage signal does not indicate an over-voltage occurrence at the second pin, the voltage generator provides the control signal having a first level for operating the switch in a first region. When the over-voltage signal indicates an over-voltage occurrence at the second pin, the voltage generator adjusts the control signal to a second level for cutting off the switch. The switch operates in a second region after the over-voltage occurrence and before the switch is cut off.

Over-voltage protection circuit for use in USB Type-C port and related method

The invention provides a temperature sensing device of an integrated circuit. The integrated circuit includes a plurality of stacked metal wire layers, and the temperature sensing device includes a first metal sheet, a first via and a second via. The first metal sheet is disposed between the first metal wire layer and the second metal wire layer of the metal wire layers. The first via and the second via are used to connect the first metal sheet and the first metal wire layer, wherein a temperature sensing signal enters the first metal sheet through the first via and leaves the first metal sheet through the second via to measure the temperature of the integrated circuit.

A voltage generation device and a voltage generation method are provided. The voltage generation device includes a first voltage generator, a second voltage generator, a third voltage generator and an output voltage generator. The first to third voltage generators respectively generate first to third voltages. The output voltage generator generates an output voltage at an output end according to the first voltage, the second voltage and the third voltage. When the output voltage is converted between the first voltage and the second voltage, during a first time period, the first voltage generator provides the first voltage to a first capacitor, and the third voltage generator causes the output voltage to change from the second voltage to the third voltage. During a second time period, the first voltage generator and the first capacitor cause the output voltage to change from the third voltage to the first voltage.

A touch pad driving device and a touch driving method are provided. The touch pad driving device is configured to scan a plurality of sensing channels of a touch pad, cause the selected sensing channel in the plurality of sensing channels receive a touch driving signal, cause the sensing channels adjacent to or around the selected sensing channel receive a shielding signal, and cause the remaining sensing channels receive a reference signal, so as to reduce electromagnetic interference generated by the touch pad.

A gate driving circuit for providing a high driving voltage includes a first N-type high-voltage transistor and a second N-type high-voltage transistor connected in series between a driving voltage output node and a system low-voltage source. A voltage difference between a system high-voltage source and the system low-voltage source is greater than a withstand voltage of the first or second N-type high-voltage transistor. When the driving voltage output node is to output a system high voltage, the first N-type high-voltage transistor and the second N-type high-voltage transistor are turned off. A touch detection device includes a processing unit, a first capacitor and a second capacitor. The processing unit has an output terminal for outputting a first analog signal, and an input terminal for receiving a second analog signal. The first capacitor has an adjustable first capacitance. The first capacitor includes a first terminal coupled to the output terminal of the processing unit, and a second terminal coupled to the input terminal of the processing unit. The second capacitor has a second capacitance. The second capacitor includes a first terminal coupled to the input terminal of the processing unit, and a second terminal coupled to a ground terminal. The first capacitance is adjusted to be substantially equal to the second capacitance. The processing unit determines whether a touch event is triggered according to variation of voltage level of the second analog signal.

Touch detection device including a set of capacitors and used to detect a touch event

A detection circuit of Universal Serial Bus (USB) is provided. A port of the USB has a first configuration channel pin and a second configuration channel pin, and the first and second configuration channel pins are disposed on opposite sides. The detection circuit includes a switch unit and a detection unit. The switch unit is coupled to the first and second configuration channel pins to sequentially provide a first voltage level of the first configuration channel pin and a second voltage level of the second configuration channel pin. A voltage converter including a first transistor, a second transistor, an inductor and a control module is provided. The first transistor has a source terminal receiving an input signal, and a body terminal receiving a first bias voltage. The second transistor has a drain terminal coupled to a drain terminal of the first transistor, a source terminal coupled to ground, and a body terminal receiving a second bias voltage. The inductor has a first terminal coupled to the drain terminal of the first terminal and a second terminal generating an output voltage. The control module is coupled to a gate terminal of the first transistor and a gate terminal of the second transistor for controlling conducting states of the first transistor and the second transistor.

Voltage converter

A light-emitting device driving circuit and a method thereof are provided. A terminal of a light-emitting device is coupled to a supply voltage and a cathode of a diode via an inductor, and the other terminal is coupled to an anode of the diode. The light-emitting device driving circuit includes a switch, a current-sensing circuit, and a switch control circuit. The current-sensing circuit is coupled to the anode of the diode via the switch to determine whether or not to generate a turning-off control signal according to a conducting-current value of the switch. The switch control circuit controls an on/off state of the switch, and turns off the switch according to the turning-off control signal. Besides, the switch control circuit compares the conducting-current value with a reference-current value to generate a comparing result to dynamically adjust a time length of turning off the switch accordingly.

Light-emitting device driving circuit for dynamically adjusting turn-off time length of switch

A constant-current driving circuit includes a first current source, a reference voltage generating circuit and an output signal generating circuit. A terminal of the first current source is coupled to a terminal of a first LED string, wherein the terminal of the first current source has a first voltage. The reference voltage generating circuit is used for generating a reference voltage and comparing the first voltage with a first predetermined voltage to generate a first comparing signal to thereby adjust the reference voltage. The output signal generating circuit is used for outputting an output signal to another terminal of the first LED string and receiving the input signal, wherein the output signal generating circuit decides whether or not to output the input signal serving as the output signal according to the comparison result of the reference voltage with the second voltage.

A low temperature coefficient oscillator including a current generator, a first and a second voltage generator, an amplifier, a resistor, a switch, a capacitor and an oscillating unit is provided. The current generator generates a first through a fourth current according to a control signal. The first voltage generator generates a first voltage according to the first current. The second voltage generator generates a second voltage according to the second current and a frequency signal. The amplifier generates the control signal according the first and second voltages. The resistor is coupled between a first terminal of the switch and ground, and a first terminal thereof receives the third current. The switch is conducted or not according the frequency signal. The capacitor is coupled between a second terminal of the switch and ground. The oscillating unit generates the frequency signal according to the fourth current and a voltage of the capacitor.

Low temperature coefficient oscillator

An LED driver and a display device using the same are disclosed. The LED driver is adapted for driving a first set of LEDs and a second set of LEDs. The LED driver includes an inductor, a main switch, a first switch, a second switch, and a controller. The inductor has a first terminal receiving an input voltage. The main switch is coupled between a second terminal of the inductor and a common level for adjusting a current flowing therethrough. The first switch is coupled between the first set of LEDs and the second terminal of the inductor. The second switch is coupled between the second LEDs and the second terminal of the inductor. The controller is coupled to controlling terminals of the main switch, the first switch, and the second switch respectively for controlling conducting statuses of the main switch, the first switch, and the second switch respectively.

Light emitting diode and display device using the same

A boost/buck and DC/DC power converter with a charging function, a method thereof and a system incorporating the same are disclosed. The system uses an external power supply or a rechargeable battery as the power thereof. The power converter regulates the external power supply for producing the output voltage. An inductor-based booster/bucker further boosts or bucks the produced output voltage and the boosted or bucked output voltage charges the rechargeable battery.
