An antenna structure with wide radiation bandwidth in a reduced physical space includes a metallic housing, a first feed portion, and a second feed portion. The metallic housing includes a metallic side frame and a metallic back board. The metallic side frame defines a slot, and first and second gaps. The metallic side frame between the first gap and one end of the slot forms a first radiation portion. The second gap divides the first radiation portion into first and second radiation sections. The first feed portion feeds current and signal to the first radiation section, and the first radiation section works in a GPS mode and a WIFI 2.4 GHz mode. The second feed portion feeds current and signal to the second radiation section, and the second radiation section works in a WIFI 5 GHz mode.

An antenna structure includes a metal frame, a feeding portion, and a first ground portion. The metal frame is provided with a slot, a first gap, a second gap, and a third gap. The first gap, the second gap, and the third gap are coupled to the slot, and the slot, the first gap, the second gap, and the third gap divide the metal frame into a radiating portion and a first coupling portion. A portion of the metal frame between the first gap and the third gap form the radiating portion, and a portion of the metal frame between the second gap and the third gap form the first coupling portion. The feeding portion is electrically coupled to the radiating portion to feed an electric signal to the radiating portion. The first ground portion is electrically coupled to the radiating portion to provide ground to the radiating portion.

An antenna structure with wide radiation bandwidth in a reduced physical space includes a housing, a connection capacitor, and a feed portion. The housing defines at least one gap and a slot dividing the housing into a first radiation portion, a second radiation portion, and a third radiation. The connection capacitor bridges the first gap, connecting the first radiation portion and the second radiation portion. The feed portion is electrically connected to the first radiation portion. The current flows through the first radiation portion and towards the second radiation portion through the connection capacitor. An antenna structure for an Access Point includes at least one connecting member and a plurality of radiating portions on a structural rear plate of the Access Point which from. The radiating portions form a plurality of resonance paths. The at least one connecting member feeds current into the plurality of radiating portions, each of the radiating portions generates radiation signals in a first frequency band. An antenna assembly includes a side frame, a feed portion, a ground portion, a radiating portion, and a first matching circuit. The side frame defines a first gap to form a first radiating section from the first gap to a side portion. The radiating portion is inside the side frame and connects to the feed portion and the ground portion, the radiating portion is spaced apart from the side frame and connected to the first radiating section. One end of the first matching circuit connects to an end of the first radiating section adjacent to the first gap, another end connects to the ground portion. The feed portion feeds current into the radiating portion, two opposites ends of the first radiating section and the first matching circuit to activate radiating signals in a first frequency band. A wireless communication device employing the antenna assembly is also provided.

An antenna structure includes a metallic member, a feed portion, a ground portion and a radiating portion. The metallic member includes a front frame, a backboard, and a side frame. The side frame defines a slot. The front frame defines a first gap and a second gap, which are in communication with the slot and extend across the front frame. A straight portion of the front frame between the first gap and the second gap forms a radiating section. The feed portion and the ground portion are electrically connected to the radiating section. Current enters the radiating section from the feed portion. The current flows through the radiating section and towards the second gap. The radiating portion obtains current from the radiating section by coupling. The radiating section and the radiating portion generate radiation signals in two different frequency bands. A wireless communication device using the antenna structure is provided.

An antenna structure includes a feed portion, a ground portion, a connecting portion, a first radiating portion, a second radiating portion, and a resonance portion. The ground portion is spaced apart from the feed portion. The connecting portion is electrically connected to the feed portion. The first radiating portion and the second radiating portion are both electrically connected to the connecting portion. The resonance portion is electrically connected to the ground portion. The connecting portion and the resonance portion define a slot therebetween.

The resonating portion is connected between the first radiating portion and the second radiating portion. The resonating portion resonates with the first and second radiating portions to generate two different frequency bands, so that the dual band antenna receives and sends wireless signals at the first and second frequency bands.

A multi-band antenna includes a radiating portion, a feed portion, a ground portion, a first switch module, and a second switch module. The radiating portion includes a plurality of connecting ends. The ground portion includes two ground sections with different impedances. The first switch module connects the feed portion to a first connecting end or a second connecting end, and the second switch module connects one of the ground sections to a third connecting end or a fourth connecting end. A wireless communication device employing the multi-band antenna is also disclosed.

A multiband antenna in a wireless communication device includes a main antenna, a first parasitic portion, a second parasitic portion, a first switch, and a second switch, the first switch is used to control functioning of the first parasitic portion. The second switch is used to control functioning of the second parasitic portion. Therefore, the main antenna can resonate alone or in combination with the functioning first parasitic portion and/or the functioning second parasitic portion, the multiband antenna has different operating frequency bands and different operating SAR.

Multiband antenna and wireless communication device employing the same

A multiband antenna includes a feed unit, a transceiving unit, and a resonance unit positioned adjacent to but separate from the feed unit and the transceiving unit. When feed signals are input to the feed unit, the feed signals are transmitted to the transceiving unit to form current paths of different lengths, and the resonance unit is driven to resonate and generates additional current paths of different lengths. In this way, the transceiving unit and the resonance unit are enabled to respectively receive and send wireless signals of different frequencies, and thus the multiband antenna is capable of receiving and sending wireless signals in more than two frequency bands.

An antenna used in portable electronic devices includes a first antenna unit shaped as a planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA) and a second antenna unit shaped as a loop antenna and connected to the first antenna unit. The first antenna unit receives/sends wireless signals at relatively higher frequencies, the second antenna unit receives/sends wireless signals at relatively lower frequencies, and the first antenna unit is coupled with the second antenna unit to regulate the working frequency band of the antenna.
