The disclosure provides a phosphor composed of (MLaEu)Si(BM)NO, wherein Mis Ca, Sr, or combinations thereof. Mis Ga, In, or combinations thereof. 0&#x3c;a&#x3c;1.00, 0&#x2266;b&#x3c;0.05, 0&#x3c;c&#x2266;0.04, and a+b+c=1.00, 0&#x2266;d&#x2266;1.00, 0&#x2266;e&#x2266;1.00, d+e=1.00, and b+d&#x2260;0, and 0.001&#x3c;x&#x3c;0.60. Under excitation, the phosphor of the disclosure emits visible light and may be collocated with other phosphors to provide a white light illumination device.

Phosphors, fabricating method thereof, and light emitting device employing the same

The invention provides borate phosphors composed of CaAlBO:M, wherein M is Pr, Nd, Eu, Eu, Gd, Tb+, Ce, Dy, Yb, Er, Sc, Mn, Zn, or combinations thereof, and 0&#x2266;x&#x2266;0.3. The invention also provides borate phosphors composed of ZnBO:Eu, Bi, wherein 0&#x2266;x&#x2266;0.6 and 0&#x2266;y&#x2266;0.6. The borate phosphors emit visible light under the excitation of ultraviolet light or blue light, and may be further collocated with different colored phosphors to provide a white light illumination device.

This invention relates to a green phosphor and a process for producing the same, wherein the phosphor is represented by a chemical formula: M(TbLa)SiO, where M includes at least one of Ca and Sr, and 0&#x3c;x&#x3c;1, and is obtained by mixing at proper ratios and calcining at a high temperature in an oxygen-containing atmosphere. When the produced phosphor is excited by a near ultra-violet light of 378 nm, a green light having its main peak at 541 nm is emitted, and the x and y values of its CIE coordinate are in respective ranges of (0.34-0.37) and (0.52-0.55). The method for producing the phosphor includes steps of weighing and mixing the ingredient powder, and calcining in the oxygen-containing atmosphere at high temperature to form the phospher.

Green-emitting phosphors and process for producing the same

The invention provides a red phosphor composed of M(EuLaBi)SiO, wherein M is Ca, Sr, Ba, or combinations thereof, 0&#x3c;x&#x3c;1, and 0&#x3c;y&#x3c;1. Under excitation of blue light or ultraviolet light, the red phosphor emits red light having a major emission peak of about 613 nm. The red phosphor of the invention may be collocated with green and blue phosphors to provide a white light illumination device.
