An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes communication circuitry and a processor operatively connected to the communication circuitry. The processor may transmit, to a first server, at least one file to be transmitted to another electronic device through the communication circuitry, may receive, from the first server, a message body related to the at least one file, may generate a message by adding, to the message body, information related to at least one file function, and may transmit the message to the other electronic device through the communication circuitry.

An electronic device according to an embodiment may include a communication circuit, a processor, operatively connected to the communication circuit, and a memory operatively connected to the processor. The memory may store instructions to cause the processor to update an application including IP multimedia subsystem (IMS)-related data. Based on the update data received from a server through the communication circuit, obtain the updated IMS-related data through the application when the application is updated, and renew the IMS configuration information.

The at least one processor is configured to perform a packet-based call associated with the first SIM using the first communication circuitry, and transmit a first re-registration message for internet protocol multimedia subsystem (IMS) re-registration for the second SIM to a network associated with the second SIM using the second communication circuitry, during the packet-based call associated with the first SIM.
