An apparatus for tracking the status of a lock, comprising: at least one lock tracking device for tracking a status of a lock; and at least one wireless key unit; wherein each of said at least one wireless key unit is connected to one of said at least one lock tracking device, and wherein said at least one wireless key unit includes a transceiver unit for transmitting information obtained from the at least one lock tracking device regarding the status of the lock.

Wireless network apparatus and method for lock indication

Embodiments of the invention provide a method, device and/or system for communicating over a wideband distribution network. The device may include, for example, a downstream conversion module for converting a legacy downstream electrical signal of a legacy downstream frequency band into an extended downstream optical signal of an extended downstream frequency band; and/or an upstream conversion module for converting an extended upstream optical signal of an extended upstream frequency band into a legacy upstream electrical signal of a legacy upstream frequency band. Method, device and system for cable television distribution

A novel node device enables transmission of a wideband signal, in compliance with various acceptable transmission standards and protocols. The signal consists of the legacy spectrum of about 5-860 MHz as well as a new downstream spectrum of about 1000-2000 MHz and a new upstream spectrum of about 2000-3000 MHz or about 930-1100 MHz. The novel device enables transfer of additional data in the upstream direction employing multiple upstream bands without making substantial investment in upstream physical node splitting thus providing networking services to residential subscribers, as well as to small and medium-sized businesses (SMB), which may operate under existing DOCSIS protocols and controlled by standard DOCSIS routers (CMTSs).

Wideband node in a CATV network

A wideband high frequency signal splitter device utilized in a signal distribution network is disclosed. An input signal having a substantially extended frequency bandwidth is applied to an input port of the proposed signal splitter from the upstream portion of a signal distribution network. Within the signal splitter the signal is suitably divided into its constituent components. The constituent components include a low frequency component, a high frequency component and an AC current power component. The components are divided separately and re-routed to combiner units associated with suitable output ports. The separate components are combined and fed through the output ports to the downstream portion of the signal distribution network. The signal splitter device is also functional as a signal combiner device by combining separate signals received from the downstream portion of the network via the output ports and transmitting the combined signals to the upstream portion of the signal distribution network.
