A water purifier including a raw water flow path, a first valve provided in a water purification path, a second valve provided in a wash water flow path, a purified water valve provided in a purified water supply tube, a flow sensor provided in a cooking water supply tube and sensing a flow amount of liquid flowing in the cooking water supply tube, a drainage valve provided in a drainage flow path branched from the cooking water supply tube and a controller for draining the liquid remaining in the cooking water supply tube, when a flow amount value sensed by the flow sensor for a preset period of time is less than or equal to a certain value, by controlling opening/closing of the purified water valve, the first valve, the second valve, and the drainage valve.

Water purifier and method for controlling water purifier

A water purifier is provided. The water purifier includes a raw water flow path provided to introduce raw water from an outside, a clean water flow path connected to the raw water flow path, pre-treatment filters arranged in parallel on the clean water flow path to filter the raw water, and a water purifying filter arranged on the clean water flow path to receive clean water discharged from the pre-treatment filters.

A filter assembly includes a filter holder into which a part of the filter is insertable, and a lock mounted to the filter holder and configured to lock and release the filter to and from the filter holder. The lock includes a guide coupled to the filter holder and configured to be linearly movable to transmit a force in a direction into which the filter is inserted, a pusher configured to transmit a force in a direction opposite to the direction, into which the filter is inserted, by an elastic member, a stopper rotatably received in the pusher to be arranged between the pusher and the guide, and configured to linearly move the filter holder by being linearly moved by the guide and the pusher, and a cam configured to lock and release the filter to and from the filter holder by guiding rotation and linear movement of the stopper.

Filter assembly for water purifier

A water purifier and a filter for the water purifier are provided. The water purifier includes a raw water flow path formed to bring in raw water from the outside, a purified water flow path connected to the raw water flow path for the raw water to flow in a first direction, a filter located in the purified water flow path to filter the raw water, a bypass flow path branched from the purified water flow path for the raw water to bypass the filter and connected to the purified water flow path on a downstream side of the filter in the first direction, a washing flow path branched from the bypass flow path and connected to the purified water flow path on a downstream side of the filter in the first direction, and a drain flow path connected to the filter to guide the raw water flowing into the filter to a second direction. The filter includes a raw water inlet through which raw water flowing in the first direction is introduced, a purified water outlet through which purified water filtered is released, and a drain outlet through which wash water having washed the filter is discharged.
