A display devices include: a light source configured to emit first light; a light conversion member configured to convert the first light into second light; and a display panel for displaying an image using the second light, wherein the light conversion member includes: a first unit substrate defined a groove etched by a predetermined depth; a second unit substrate disposed to face the first unit substrate; a first connection member having a closed loop shape surrounding the groove and disposed on the first unit substrate; a second connection member bonded to the first connection member and disposed on the second unit substrate to overlap the first connection member; and a quantum dot member disposed in the groove and configured to receive the first light and configured to convert the first light into the second light.

The light emitting diode package includes a light emitting diode, a quantum dot layer, a band pass filter, disposed in a housing. The light emitting diode emits light of a first color. The quantum dot layer includes a plurality of quantum dots disposed on the light emitting diode to absorb a portion of the light emitted by the diode, and then emit light of a second color. The band pass filter is disposed on the quantum dot layer and has a first pass band corresponding to the light emitted from the diode and a second pass band corresponding to the light emitted from the quantum dots.

A display apparatus includes a backlight unit which generates first light including first blue light, first green light and first red light and a display panel which receives the first light to display an image, where the backlight unit includes: a light emitting diode which generates an ultraviolet ray; a fluorescent substance layer disposed on the light emitting diode, where the fluorescent substance layer includes: a blue fluorescent substance layer which receives the ultraviolet ray and emits blue light; a green fluorescent substance layer which receives the ultraviolet ray and emits green light; and a red fluorescent substance layer which receives the ultraviolet ray and emits red light; and a first band-pass filter which receives the blue light, the green light and the red light and outputs the first blue light, the first green light and the first red light.
