A drive axle assembly includes a wheel bearing mounted to an axle housing, a shaft assembly including a first shaft on an inboard side thereof to which a driving force of a power train is transmitted, and a second shaft on an outboard side thereof which is shaft-connected to the inside of the axle housing by a constant-velocity joint and is separably assembled to the first shaft, and a boot assembly including a first end portion fixed to an external ring of the wheel bearing and a second end portion assembled to the shaft assembly to be rotatable relative to the shaft assembly, and configured to restrict rotation of the boot and prevent foreign substances from being introduced therein.

Drive axle assembly

A constant velocity joint for a vehicle. The constant velocity joint includes: an axle housing fixed to a knuckle by a hub bearing, and a joint assembly inserted into the axle housing to transmit power from a shaft to the axle housing through a plurality of joint balls. In particular, the axle housing includes an extension portion which is extended from an end portion of the axle housing in a radial direction of the axle housing, and the extension portion provides a pressing force to an inner race of the hub bearing in an axial direction of the axle housing. The constant velocity joint further includes a boot surrounding an outer side of the extension portion and coupled to the extension portion so as to form a restraining force between the extension portion and the boot in the axial direction.

Constant velocity joint for vehicle

A hub built-in type constant velocity apparatus includes a hub housing with a constant velocity joint coupled inwardly, an internal race coupled to an external circumferential surface of the hub housing, and a pre-load ring coupled to the external circumferential surface of the hub housing and located on a side of the internal race, wherein an end portion of the hub housing is formed to be rolled upwards toward the pre-load ring to form a forming portion coupled to the pre-load spring for applying pressure to the pre-load ring and the internal race.
