A dielectric component is fabricated from a dielectric material and includes a base panel member and a plurality of isolation panel members. The base panel member has a first base panel member surface. The plurality of isolation panel members is connected to and projects perpendicularly from the first base panel member surface. The plurality of isolation panel members are disposed apart from and extend parallel to one another to form a plurality of isolation channels. An electrical connector assembly includes an electrical connector housing and the dielectric component. Consecutive ones of a plurality of terminal pin portions projecting from the electrical connector housing are isolated from one another by consecutive ones of the plurality of isolation panel members such that the terminal pin portions are disposed in the isolation channels and are therefore isolated from one another. The electrical connector assembly might also incorporate a printed circuit board.

Dielectric component and an electrical connector assembly incorporating the same

An electrical connector receptacle includes a shield cover, a terminal unit and a fastener structure. The shield cover defines a cavity and an opening into the cavity and has a base panel with a base panel hole formed therethrough. The terminal unit has a first terminal unit mounting block having a first terminal unit mounting block hole, a second terminal unit mounting block having a second terminal unit mounting block hole, a first terminal assembly and a second terminal assembly. The first and second terminal unit mounting blocks are connected together in a stacked manner and are disposed in the cavity. With the first terminal unit mounting block hole, the second terminal unit mounting block hole and the base panel hole being in registration with one another, the fastener structure extends therethrough from the base panel and projects outwardly from the opening.

Electrical connector receptacle

An electrical connector includes a generally box-shaped connector housing and a lever. The lever is pivotally connected to the connector housing and is operative to move from a first fixed position to a second fixed position. In the first fixed position, the lever is releasably connected to the connector housing to prevent the lever from moving towards the second fixed position. In the second fixed position, the lever is releasably connected to the connector housing to prevent the lever from moving towards the first fixed position. Upon releasing the lever from the first fixed position, the lever is operative to pivotally move from the first fixed position to the second fixed position. The electrical connector is adapted for matable connection with a workpiece connector.
