A refrigerator includes a main body in which a storage compartment is formed, a door to open and close the storage compartment, and an ice maker provided on the door to generate ice, wherein the ice maker includes a frame having a water container mounting part, an ice making tray provided on the frame and in which ice is generated, and a water container detachably mounted on the frame to supply water to the ice making tray, and wherein the water container is configured such that at least a portion of the water container is opened when mounted on the water container mounting part.

A refrigerator includes a main body, a door rotatably coupled to the main body, and an ice making chamber provided in the door and into which the ice maker is assembled. The ice making chamber includes an ice making chamber wall and an ice making space having an open front surface, and the ice making chamber wall includes a guide rib protruding toward the ice making space. The ice maker includes an ice making tray having an ice making cell for storing water, an ejector rotatable to separate ice from the ice making cell, and a motor box coupled to one side of the ice making tray in a longitudinal direction to accommodate an ice separation motor for rotating the ejector. A refrigerator includes a body configured to include a storage compartment, a door portion configured to include an inner door pivotably coupled to the body to open/close the storage compartment and an outer door pivotably provided in front of the inner door, an ice making chamber formed at the door portion to be divided from the storage compartment by the inner door and to be opened or closed by the outer door, an ice making system accommodated in the ice making chamber, a dispenser provided at the door portion to provide water and ice, and a water filter mountable at the door portion to purify water supplied from an external water supply source. The ice making chamber is easily accessible by opening only the outer door while the inner door is closed and prevent cold air in the storage compartment from flowing out.

Disclosed herein are a refrigerator includes an ice storage, a transfer member, a transfer motor coupled to the transfer member, and a controller configured to control the transfer motor to rotate the transfer member in a first rotation direction and a second rotation direction, wherein the transfer member prevents the ice cubes stored in the ice storage from agglomerating by rotating in the first rotation direction and the second rotation direction. The controller warns a user of agglomeration of the ice cubes stored in the ice storage in response to no rotation of the transfer motor sensed.

The refrigerator includes a curd maker provided in a refrigerating compartment to ferment milk into curd, wherein the curd maker includes a case including an outer case forming an external appearance of the case and an inner case provided in the outer case, an insulation member provided between the outer case and the inner case, a curd container received in the inner case to store milk, a heater provided between the inner case and the insulation member to heat the curd container, a fan to supply cool air from the refrigerating compartment to the curd container to cool the curd container, and a temperature sensor to measure temperature in the curd maker.

A refrigerator is disclosed. The refrigerator includes a refrigerator body having a storage chamber defined therein, a refrigeration cycle device for cooling the storage chamber, a chilling case for receiving a beverage container such that the chilling case surrounds the beverage container in a contact manner, and a rapid cooling device, having a case receiving part for receiving the chilling case, for cooling a coolant using the refrigeration cycle device and spraying the cooled coolant to an outside of the chilling case in a vicinity of the chilling case. A beverage is cooled in a state in which the beverage container is not in direct contact with the coolant, whereby the coolant is not present at the outside of the beverage container, and therefore, the beverage container is kept sanitary.

Various elements are provided to maintain the three compartments at selected target temperatures.
