The invention encompasses a nontoxic agricultural formulation of a concentrated liquid suspension comprising a drying oil and suspended particulate materials, and also encompasses an aqueous formulation comprising the concentrated liquid suspension and an agricultural treatment agent. Provided herein are in vivo gelling ophthalmic pre-formulations forming a biocompatible retinal patch comprising at least one nucleophilic compound or monomer unit, at least one electrophilic compound or monomer unit, and optionally a therapeutic agent and/or viscosity enhancer. In some embodiments, the retinal patch at least partially adheres to the site of a retinal tear. Also provided herein are methods of treating retinal detachment by delivering an in vivo gelling ophthalmic pre-formulation to the site of a retinal tear in human eye, wherein the in vivo gelling ophthalmic pre-formulation forms a retinal patch.

Biocompatible hydrogel treatments for retinal detachment

Provided herein are biocompatible hydrogel polymers capable of gelling in vivo comprising a therapeutic agent such as a protein or other biomolecule and kits comprising at least one nucleophilic compound or monomer unit, at least one electrophilic compound or monomer unit, and at least one therapeutic agent. The biocompatible hydrogel polymer is bioabsorbable and releases the therapeutic agent at a target site, avoiding systemic exposure and achieving a controlled delivery.

In some embodiments, the biocompatible hydrogel polymer covers a wound in a mammal and adheres to the surrounding skin tissue. In other embodiments, the hydrogel polymer is delivered into a joint space to treat joint disease or navicular disease.
