A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate facing the first substrate, a dual passivation layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The dual passivation layer includes a first passivation layer and a second passivation layer. A refractive index of the first passivation layer is different from a refractive index of the second passivation layer.

Input sensing unit and electronic device including the same

An electronic device including a display unit and an input sensing unit including a sensing insulating layer including a first insulating layer disposed on the display unit, and a second insulating layer disposed on the first insulating layer and including first contact holes and second contact holes, a first sensing electrode including first sensing patterns and a plurality of first conductive patterns disposed between the first sensing patterns, and a second sensing electrode including second sensing patterns and second conductive patterns disposed between the second sensing patterns, in which the first sensing patterns and the first conductive patterns are coupled to each other through corresponding ones of the first contact holes, and at least one of the first sensing electrode and the second sensing electrode is in contact with the first insulating layer through the second contact holes.

A liquid crystal display according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure includes: a gate line, a data line, and a compensation voltage line disposed on an insulation substrate; a first passivation layer disposed on the gate line, the data line, and the compensation voltage line; a pixel electrode connected to the gate line and the data line, and a compensation electrode connected to the compensation voltage line, disposed on the first passivation layer; and a common electrode formed on the first passivation layer, wherein the compensation electrode overlaps at least a portion of the data line, and the compensation voltage line is formed with the same layer as the data line.

A light field display device according to example embodiments includes a lower substrate, a back plane structure on the lower substrate, a first electrode electrically connected to the back plane structure, an organic light emitting layer on the first electrode, a second electrode facing the first electrode and covering the organic light emitting layer, an encapsulation layer covering the second electrode, a lower alignment layer directly on the encapsulation layer, a liquid crystal layer on the lower alignment layer, the liquid crystal layer including a plurality of micro liquid crystal lenses to constitute a microlens array, a lens electrode on the liquid crystal layer to form an electric field with the second electrode, and an upper substrate on the lens electrode.

Light field display device and method of manufacturing the same

A stereoscopic image display device according to an exemplary embodiment includes: a display panel including a plurality of pixels; and a lens panel positioned at a surface where the display panel displays an image, wherein the lens panel includes: a photomodulation unit controlling a light path of light emitted from the display panel; and a first electrode unit and a second electrode unit facing each other via the photomodulation unit interposed therebetween, and wherein the first electrode unit includes a plurality of electrodes that are electrically connected to each other and positioned at different layers, and the second electrode unit includes at least one corresponding electrode overlapping at least one among the plurality of electrodes.

Stereoscopic image display device

A display device includes a display panel including a plurality of pixels configured to display an image, and a lens panel disposed on the display panel and including a plurality of lenses when operating in a 3D mode. The lens panel is partitioned into a plurality of domains. The lens panel includes a first electrode, a second electrode, and an optical modulation layer. The first electrode and the second electrode face each other and the optical modulation layer is disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode. The optical modulation layer includes liquid crystal molecules forming the lenses. The first electrode includes first openings and the second electrode includes second openings. At least one of a first opening, of the first openings, and a second opening, of the second openings, has a shape corresponding to a shape of a plurality of unit figures overlapping each other at their edges.

Lens panel and display device including the same

A display device includes a window panel having a first radius of curvature, a display panel and an adhesion layer. The display panel defines a first portion having a second radius of curvature, and a second portion which extends from an end of the first portion and has a third radius of curvature different from the second radius of curvature. In a line normal to the upper surface of the display panel, a first distance between a first point at the upper surface of the first portion of the display panel and a first crossing point at an upper surface of the window panel, is different from a second distance between a second point at the upper surface of the second portion of the display panel and a second crossing point at the upper surface of the window panel.

Display device having adhesion layer between curved window panel and curved display panel

A liquid crystal display includes: a first substrate; a first electrode on the first substrate, and a plurality of first cutouts defined in the first electrode; an insulating layer on the first electrode; a second electrode on the insulating layer, a plurality of second cutouts defined in the second electrode, and a plurality of branch electrodes defined by the plurality of second cutouts; a second substrate facing the first substrate; and a liquid crystal layer between the first substrate and the second substrate. The second cutouts have a linear shape which extends in a length direction, widths of the plurality of first cutouts is larger than that of the plurality of branch electrodes in a width direction crossing the length direction, and the second cutouts overlap the plurality of first cutouts, in the length direction.

An array substrate includes a substrate, a switching element, a pixel electrode, and a common electrode. The substrate includes a plurality of gate lines, data lines insulated from the gate lines, and the data lines extend in a direction crossing the gate lines. The switching element is connected to the gate lines and data lines. The pixel electrode is arranged in a pixel area which is defined on the substrate, and is connected to an output electrode of the switching element. The common electrode corresponds to the pixel area and is insulated from the pixel electrode, and the common electrode has at least one first slit corresponding to the data line.
