A battery module includes a plurality of battery cells stacked on one another in a first direction and configured to form a stacked structure. In particular, some battery cells of the plurality of battery cells are coated with hot melt respectively interposed between some battery cells of the plurality of battery cells to fix the battery cells. The battery module further includes a pair of end plates that surface-contact with opposite end battery cells of the stacked structure; and a pair of bus bar assemblies arranged at opposite ends of the stacked structure in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction and configured to connect electrodes of the plurality of battery cells located at opposite ends in the second direction to each other.

A battery pack includes a plurality of battery modules, and each battery module includes: a plurality of battery cells mutually laminated in a first direction and forming a laminated structure; a pair of end plates, each end plate of the pair of end plates being in surface contact with a first and a second ends of the laminated structure, respectively, in the first direction; and a pair of busbar assemblies. In particular, each bus bar assembly of the pair of bus bar assemblies is disposed at the first end and the second end of the laminated structure, respectively, in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction.

A cooling system for an eco-friendly vehicle is provided. The system includes an electronic component cooling device that cools an electronic component of an eco-friendly vehicle and a battery cooling device that cools a battery installed within the eco-friendly vehicle. A vehicle thermal management system for significantly improving thermal management performance includes a first group including a battery, a second group including one or more power electronics (PE) components, a plurality of cooling lines in thermal communication with an air-cooled radiator, and a six-way valve. The six-way valve includes a housing having a plurality of inlets and a plurality of outlets, a valve member mounted to be rotatable in the housing, and an actuator driving the valve member. The housing has a plurality of passages allowing the plurality of inlets to selectively communicate with the plurality of outlets by rotation of the valve member. In addition, the plurality of passages include a plurality of inner passages formed in an interior space of the housing, and a plurality of outer passages formed in an exterior space of the housing.

A battery-cooling device for a vehicle is provided. The device includes a plurality of frames provided with battery cells mounted thereto and having apertures provided in opposite side surfaces of lower ends of the frames. A pipe is inserted through the apertures. A coolant inlet is mounted on a first side surface of a lower end of each of the plurality of frames and communicates with a first end of the pipe. A coolant is introduced into the coolant inlet. Additionally, a coolant outlet is mounted on a second side surface of the lower end of each of the plurality of frames and communicates with a second end of the pipe. The coolant is then discharged from the coolant outlet.

Battery-cooling device for vehicle and manufacturing method of same

A cooling structure of a seat and an electronic module is provided. The cooling structure includes a cooling fan module that is mounted at a lower portion of the seat and generates air flow. An electronic module operating as a heating element is disposed at a lower portion of the cooling fan module. A flow path control valve is disposed at an upper portion of the cooling fan module to selectively convert a flow direction of air flowing in towards an upper end of the cooling fan module. The electronic module is thus continuously cooled and the seat is selectively cooled while the cooling fan module operates.

An apparatus for preventing battery overcharge is provided and includes a plurality of holders interposed between cells stacked within a battery to enclose the cells in a stacking direction. An installation space is formed between outer parts of at least two holders that enclose the cells. In addition, a fluid pouch is disposed within the installation space and adjacent to the cells inside the installation space, and contains a fluid therein. A cutting part is disposed within the installation space and has a first end disposed adjacent to the fluid pouch, and has a cutter edge heading between a lead tab and a bus bar at a second end of the cutting part.

A high voltage battery for a vehicle includes a first plate, a second plate, and a third plate coupled to be folded with each other and have cell insertion spaces formed therebetween. A bus bar includes a first lead which is inserted into a side boundary of the first plate and the second plate to contact a tab of a cell, a second lead which is inserted into a side boundary of the second plate and the third plate to contact a tab of another cell, and a connector which connects the lead to the second lead.

High voltage battery for vehicle

An apparatus preventing overcharging of a battery and a battery including the apparatus are provided. The apparatus includes holders interposed on respective gaps between battery cells to be stacked and an installation space formed between borders of adjacent holders. A cutting module is inserted into the installation space and an inserted end thereof is disposed between the cells adjacent to an inner side of the installation space to be fixed to a holder and an exposed end thereof has a cutter blade directed to a gap between a lead tap and a bus bar bonded together that is formed. The gap between the ends is connected with a plurality of hinges to compress the hinges to be unfolded when the cell is expanded in a side direction and to deploy the exposed end outwardly for the cutter blade to separate the bonding of the lead tap and the bus bar.
