An emergency braking function control method of a vehicle includes detecting an obstacle ahead of the vehicle, the vehicle being in a state of being travelable in a forward direction using power of a power source, in response to the detecting, determining a first steering angle and a second steering angle, the first steering angle being a maximum steering angle at which the vehicle collides with the obstacle and the second steering angle being a steering angle at which the vehicle turns while maintaining a minimum safe distance from the obstacle, the first and second steering angles being determined based on a distance to the obstacle, a heading of the obstacle, and an input steering angle, and determining whether to change an emergency braking function based on the input steering angle, the first steering angle, or the second steering angle.

In response to determining that the accelerator pedal is erroneously operated, the method includes switching the driving mode to a mode in which an engine is disconnected from a driving shaft and a motor generates driving force. The number of revolutions per minute (RPM) of the engine is then adjusted based on the extent to which the accelerator pedal is operated and the torque of the motor is adjusted based on a first vehicle speed and the distance to the obstacle.

Disclosed is a method of controlling a hybrid electric vehicle having a transmission, an engine, and first and second drive motors. The method includes: performing charging through the first drive motor using the power of the engine by engaging an engine clutch disposed between the engine and the first drive motor while a vehicle is stopped with the gear stage shifted to the parking (P) range; turning off the engine and controlling the clutch of the transmission to enter an open state when the gear stage is shifted to the driving (D) range; and commencing movement of the vehicle using the second drive motor alone or using at least one of the first drive motor or the engine together with the second drive motor based on at least one of requested torque, available torque of the second drive motor, or the speed of the first drive motor.

An apparatus and method for controlling driving of a vehicle, and a vehicle system are provided. The apparatus according to the present disclosure includes a determination device that determines a closed state of an engine clutch, based on a state of a motor or an engine of the vehicle when a state of the engine clutch is unknown by an engine clutch controller. A state determination device receives information from the determination device to thus determine whether the engine clutch is in a closed or open state.
