Display device which prevents color mixing between adjacent pixels

A display panel includes a base substrate. A semiconductor layer is disposed on the base substrate. A source electrode and a drain electrode are disposed on the semiconductor layer. A first insulating layer is disposed on both the source electrode and the drain electrode. A data line is disposed on the first insulating layer. The data line is electrically connected to the source electrode via a contact hole penetrating through the first insulating layer.

Display panel and display device having the same

A display device includes a lower substrate, a sub-pixel structure, an optical filter layer, a color filter layer, an upper substrate, and an alignment structure. The lower substrate has a display area and a peripheral area surrounding the display area. The sub-pixel structure is disposed in the display area on the lower substrate. The optical filter layer is disposed on the sub-pixel structure. The color filter layer is disposed on the optical filter layer. The upper substrate is disposed on the color filter layer. The alignment structure is disposed in the peripheral area on a bottom surface of the upper substrate, and contains a material equal to a material forming the optical filter layer and the color filter layer.

A color conversion substrate for displaying a first color, a second color, and a third color may include a base substrate, a first light-blocker, a second light-blocker, a pattern layer, a first color converter, and a second color converter. The first light-blocker contacts a surface of the base substrate and may block first light of the third color. The second light-blocker contacts the surface of the base substrate and may block second light of the third color. The pattern layer is disposed on the first light-blocker and the second light-blocker and includes an optical pattern that includes protrusions. The first color converter overlaps the first light-blocker and may convert a first portion of incident light into light of the first color. The second color converter overlaps the second light-blocker and may convert a second portion of the incident light into light of the second color.

Color conversion substrate and related display device

A liquid crystal display device includes: a plurality of pixels; a timing controller configured to convert an externally input image signal into image data and control the generation of a gamma voltage. The gamma voltage is compensated based on a kick-back voltage generated for each gray level. The gamma voltage generator is configured to generate a compensation gamma voltage that compensates a kick-back voltage under control of the timing controller; and a data driver is configured to convert the image data into a data signal by using the compensation gamma voltage. The plurality of pixels may include a first pixel and a second pixel, which display colors different from each other, and the first pixel and the second pixel display colors of the same gray level by using data signals having voltage magnitudes different from each other.

Liquid crystal display device

An exemplary embodiment of the present inventive concept provides a display device including: a light unit configured to emit blue light; a color conversion panel disposed on the light unit; and a display panel disposed between the light unit and the color conversion panel to include a transistor. The color conversion panel includes: a substrate; a color conversion layer disposed between the substrate and the display panel to include a semiconductor nanocrystal; a transmission layer disposed between the substrate and the display panel; and a polarization layer disposed between the color conversion layer and the display panel and between the transmission layer and the display panel, and the display panel includes a blue light blocking film which overlaps the transistor, while the blue light blocking film includes a red color filter.

Display panel and method of manufacturing the same

A liquid crystal display ('LCD') device includes: a first substrate having a first area that allows an image to be transmitted therethrough and a second area that blocks an image; a second substrate opposite to the first substrate; a liquid crystal layer between the first substrate and the second substrate; and a polarizing layer on the second substrate.
