The disclosure provides a tissue sectioning system for direct coupling with a microscope. The tissue sectioning system includes a frame having a blade module, a container containing a solution system, and a movable arm. Specifically, the blade module is used to slice a sample. The solution system in the container includes at least two solutions, which are the first and second solutions. Further, a refractive index of the first and second solutions is identical, and the first and second solution is immiscible with each other. The first moveable arm has two ends, which are the first end and second ends. The first and second ends connect to the container and the frame, respectively. Additionally, the first moveable arm moves the container along the Z-axis.

Tissue sectioning system

Provided is a method for preparing a tissue section, including treating a tissue specimen with a clearing agent and at least one labeling agent to obtain a cleared and labeled tissue specimen; generating a three-dimensional (3D) image of the cleared and labeled tissue specimen; performing an image slicing procedure on the 3D image to generate a plurality of two-dimensional (2D) images; identifying a target 2D image among the plurality of 2D images to obtain a distance value of D1, which indicates the distance between the target 2D image and a predetermined surface of the 3D image; preparing a hardened tissue specimen from the cleared and labeled tissue specimen; and cutting the hardened tissue specimen near a predetermined site to obtain a tissue section, wherein the distance between the predetermined site and a surface of the hardened tissue specimen corresponding to the predetermined surface of the 3D image is D1.

Method for preparation of tissue sections

Provided is a method for analyzing a tissue specimen, including treating a tissue specimen with an aqueous clearing agent and with at least two fluorescent probes to obtain a cleared and labeled tissue specimen; imaging the cleared and labeled tissue specimen to generate a three-dimensional (3D) image of the tissue specimen; preparing a stained tissue section from the cleared and labeled tissue specimen; capturing a reference two-dimensional (2D) image of the stained tissue section; matching the reference 2D image with the 3D image to extract from the 3D image a series of 2D image slices including a corresponding 2D image slice that corresponds to the reference 2D image; and determining at least one pathological score for each of the series of 2D image slices and reporting the presence or absence and the extent of the disease based on the pathological scores. The method can improve the accuracy of histopathologic diagnosis.

Method for analyzing tissue specimens

An epi-cone shell light-sheet super-resolution system and an epi-fluorescence microscope are provided. The epi-cone shell light-sheet super-resolution system includes a light-emitting element, a lens set, and an objective lens. After passing through the lens set, the excitation light emitted by the light-emitting element is refracted into ring-shaped light and focused on the objective-lens back-focal plane. The objective lens focuses the ring-shaped light to form a ring-shaped light cone which is then focused on the sample position. The ring-shaped light cone has a fixed thickness. In addition, the same objective lens is used for both excitation and imaging, thus achieving an epi-fluorescence microscope.

Epi-cone shell light-sheet super-resolution system and microscope

A portable surface finishing device based on coherent light source includes a cover, a laser source, an optical calibrating module and a laser scanning module. The cover includes a beam output opening. The laser source is disposed in the cover, and is for providing a laser beam. The optical calibrating module is disposed in the cover, and the laser beam passes through the optical calibrating module. The laser scanning module is disposed in the cover, and the laser beam from the optical calibrating module passes through the laser scanning module so as to linearly output on a target surface. The laser scanning module includes a multifaceted reflective structure, a rotation driving mechanism and an F-theta lens.

Portable surface finishing device based on coherent light source

A vortex laser generation device in a degenerate cavity with a spiral phase element and a vortex laser generation method are provided. The vortex laser generation device has a degenerate cavity, and the degenerate cavity has a resonator mirror, a gain medium, an optical element, and an output coupler. The off-axis beams are formed in multiple pass transverse modes to resonate by disposing an optical element in the degenerate cavity, so that a vortex laser with orbital angular momentum can be generated.

A laser-optical position detecting module with a laser as a light source is disclosed, which includes a laser mode conversing assembly, having a laser source capable of emitting a time-modulated laser beam; a laser mode conversing unit, used to expand the time-modulated laser beam to a two-dimension sensing plane; a drive control unit, adopted for driving the laser source to emit the time-modulated laser beam; and a detector matrix. The laser mode conversing unit has a phase delay device and a passive optical device capable of reflecting the light; so that, through the laser mode conversing unit, the laser-optical position detecting module can expand the light emitted by the laser source to the two-dimension sensing plane without using any other mechanical scanning.

Laser-optical position detecting module

A single-pass optical parametric amplifier is provided. The single-pass optical parametric amplifier comprises a light source emitting a fundamental wave having a wavelength range; a nonlinear material, which the fundamental wave passes therethrough to form a second harmonic generation wave having a light path; a supercontinuum generator extending the wavelength range of the fundamental wave to form a supercontinuum generation seed; and an optical parametric wavelength transformer transforming the supercontinuum generation seed and the second harmonic generation wave into a signal wave and an idler wave.

Wavelength tunable single-pass optical parametric amplifier

The configurations of an electro-optic Bragg deflector and the methods of using it as a laser Q-switch in a Q-switched laser and in a Q-switched wavelength-conversion laser are provided. As a first embodiment, the electro-optic Bragg deflector comprises an electrode-coated electro-optic material with one of a 1D and a 2D spatially modulated electro-optic coefficient. When a voltage is supplied to the electrodes, the electro-optic material behaves like a Bragg grating due to the electro-optically induced spatial modulation of the refractive index. The second embodiment relates to an actively Q-switched laser, wherein the electro-optic Bragg deflector functions as a laser Q-switch. The third embodiment of the present invention combines the Q-switched laser and a laser-wavelength converter to form a Q-switched wavelength-conversion laser, wherein the EO Bragg deflector can be monolithically integrated with a quasi-phase-matching wavelength converter in a fabrication process.

Electro-optic Bragg deflector and method of using it as laser Q-switch in an actively Q-switched laser and an actively Q-switched wavelength-conversion laser

A simple and effective coherent radiation device generates laser-like radiation from an optical parametric oscillator (OPO) that is formed by a dielectric-modulation structure in a nonlinear optical material. The nonlinear optical material used in the OPO can be a birefringence phase-matched material or a quasi-phase-matched material.
