A stable aqueous foam carrier. The stable aqueous foam carrier includes (1) a stable aqueous foam comprising a foam agent and a foam stabilizer; and (2) additives comprising fibers and other additives used in hydraulic compositions, wherein the additives are uniformly dispersed in the stable aqueous form carrier, wherein the stable aqueous foam carrier does not contain any of gypsum, cement, concrete, fine pozzolanic additives, and aggregates.

Aqueous foam carrier and method of making the same

Foamed fiber compositions and processes of making said compositions. Compositions include a hydraulic mixture including (i) a polymer and (ii) one or more of gypsum, fly ash, and cement; and a foam including a foaming agent, a foam stabilizer, and 0.5-35% fibers by weight. The process for forming the foamed fiber composition includes providing a stable foam including a foaming agent and a foam stabilizer; mixing fibers into the stable foam until the fibers are uniformly distributed in the foam to form a fiber-containing foam, wherein the fiber-containing aqueous foam contains 0.5-35% fibers by weight; and mixing the fiber-containing foam into a hydraulic slurry including (i) a polymer and (ii) one or more of gypsum, fly ash, and cement. The composition is suitable for use in roof tiles, underlayments, backerboards, cement composites, foam fills, bricks, cement sidings, etc.

Fiber containing aqueous foam composite, the process and use

A foamed gypsum composition is provided. The composition may be used in making a crosslinked, foamed gypsum product. The composition is comprised of gypsum, foaming agents, epoxy resin, and a hardener. Optional ingredients would include one or more additives selected from the group consisting of inert fillers, aggregates, clay, sand, fibers, pigments, dyes, polymeric cement binder, plasticizers, superplasticizers, mineral wool, scrim, and freeze-prevent additives. Objects made from the composition include boards, interior walls, ceiling tiles, acoustical tiles, acoustical panels, roof decking, and flooring.

Foamed gypsum compositions

Stable and water-resistant aqueous foam composition containing (1) a long chain cationic organic compound and (2) a long-chain anionic organic compound in a weight ratio of from 0.05:1 to 15:1. The stable foam composition of the invention may be mixed with various water-soluble or water-dispersible organic, polymeric, or inorganic substances and used in applications where lightweight, heat, sound or other insulative, barrier properties or homogeneous material distribution are needed. Such applications include cementitious or gypsum containing substances, adhesives, binders, paper treating materials, coatings, ceramics, landfills, geofills, and firefighting and fireproofing materials.

This invention relates to ambient-curing water-based binder, coating and adhesive compositions. These compositions are prepared by mixing (1) an acidic first component containing an aqueous dispersion of polymer latex, said polymer being alkali-curable and polymerized from a monomer mixture containing quaternary ammonium monomer, and an epoxy resin, together with (2) an alkaline second component containing an amine curing reagent. The resulting mixture of the first and second components is alkaline, cures quickly at room temperature, and yields films with high film strength, durability, and excellent heat and water resistance.
