The present invention discloses a display, including a backlight module and a timing controller. The backlight module includes a target backlight block and an adjacent backlight block, the adjacent backlight block is adjacent to the target backlight block. The timing controller is coupled to the backlight module, and is configured to generate an initial duty cycle of the target backlight block and an initial duty cycle of the adjacent backlight block according to an image frame, and generates an updated duty cycle of the target backlight block according to at least the initial duty cycle of the target backlight block, the initial duty cycle of the adjacent backlight block, a weight of the target backlight block, and a weight of the adjacent backlight block. The backlight module adjusts a brightness of the target backlight block according to the updated duty cycle.

A timing controller for executing an image adjustment method is provided. The timing controller includes an image adjustment circuit including a feature extraction module, configured to obtain a first feature value of a pixel according to a sub-pixel value of the pixel; a look-up table module, coupled to the feature extraction module, configured to obtain a first sub-pixel value of the pixel according to a first lookup table and obtain a second sub-pixel value of the pixel according to a second lookup table; and a color adjustment module, coupled to the feature extraction module and the look-up table module, configured to compare the first feature value with a first threshold, and correspondingly adjust the sub-pixel value of the pixel according to the first sub-pixel value and the second sub-pixel value.

A display device and a grayscale compensation method thereof. The display device includes a data conversion circuit, a voltage drop estimation circuit, and a compensation circuit. The data conversion circuit converts a plurality of original grayscale data of a target pixel block into current data. The voltage drop estimation circuit converts the current data into transmission line voltage drop information of the target pixel block. The compensation circuit converts the transmission line voltage drop information into at least one pixel compensation value of the target pixel block, and uses the at least one pixel compensation value to compensate the original grayscale data of the target pixel block, so as to generate a plurality of compensated grayscale data of the target pixel block.

Display device and grayscale compensation method thereof

A driver circuit including a controller circuit is provided. The controller circuit is configured to perform an image compensating operation on a display pixel of an image sensing region of a display panel to compensate a pixel value of the display pixel using a first compensating value. The image sensing region is a circular area comprising image sensors. The controller circuit determines the first compensating value according to a location of the display pixel in the image sensing region. A method for compensating pixel values of display pixels is also provided.

The invention provides a display device and a Mura compensation method thereof. The display device includes a display panel and a Mura compensation circuit. The Mura compensation circuit defines a compensation area in the display panel based on a curve equation corresponding to a current frame rate of the display panel. The Mura compensation circuit calculates a compensation weight in the compensation area based on the current frame rate and the curve equation. The Mura compensation circuit uses the compensation weight to compensate a pixel data in the compensation area so as to generate a compensated pixel data frame. The Mura compensation circuit provides the compensated pixel data frame to the display panel for displaying images.

A data compensation method include following steps. Input subpixel data corresponding to subpixels of a first horizontal line of a display panel are converted respectively into digital values. A first accumulated value is generated by accumulating the digital values converted from the input subpixel data corresponding to the first horizontal line. A difference value is calculated between the first accumulated value corresponding to the first horizontal line and a second accumulated value corresponding to a second horizontal line. A first compensation value with respect to a first subpixel of the first horizontal line is obtained according to a first input subpixel data, the difference value and a first voltage polarity for driving the first subpixel. A processor is disposed in a display device and is configured to perform following operations: calculating a total coupling coefficient for a (N−1)th frame according to input data, in which N is a positive integer greater than 1; calculating a coupling coefficient difference value of two adjacent lines for a Nth frame according to the input data; generating a first compensation value for a target sub-pixel according to the coupling coefficient difference value and target input data of the target sub-pixel; generating a second compensation value for the target sub-pixel according to the first compensation value and the total coupling coefficient; generating an output data for the target sub-pixel according to the target input data and the second compensation value; and controlling a display panel in the display device to display a final image according to the output data.

The disclosure provides a processor and a pixel degradation compensation method thereof. The processor includes a processing circuit and a pixel degradation compensation circuit. The pixel degradation compensation circuit generates a current degradation value based on current sub-pixel data. The current degradation value represents the degradation effect of the current sub-pixel data on a corresponding sub-pixel in a display module. The pixel degradation compensation circuit may adjust the current degradation value to generate an adjusted degradation value corresponding to the current sub-pixel data. The adjusted degradation value is accumulated to a total degradation value corresponding to the current sub-pixel data. The pixel degradation compensation circuit compensates the current sub-pixel data based on the total degradation value corresponding to the current sub-pixel data so as to generate compensated current sub-pixel data to the display module.

Input gray levels are received corresponding to red, green and blue subpixels on the OLED display panel. The input gray levels are mapped into current indices. A representative current index is calculated according to the current indices. The representative current index is compared with a current index threshold. In response to the representative current index being lower than the current index threshold, a voltage compensation value is generated according to the representative current index for shifting an initial voltage level utilized in an initial phase of the OLED display panel, and gray level compensation values are generated according to the current indices for adjusting the input gray levels into adjusted gray levels corresponding to the red, green and blue subpixels.

The counting unit counts display lines of a current frame according to a vertical synchronization signal to generate a first count value. The judgment unit compares the first count value and a second count value to generate a judgment result. The second count value represents the number of display lines of a previous frame preceding to the current frame. The remainder calculation unit calculates a remainder generated by dividing the first count value by a period of an emission control signal. The signal compensation unit adjusts the emission control signal to compensate for an incomplete period of the emission control signal occurring in the end of the current frame period.

The display control device includes a data analyzing circuit and a data compensation circuit. The data analyzing circuit performs arithmetic operation on multiple sub-pixel data output by a target driving channel of a source driver in a current frame to obtain a resultant value corresponding to the target driving channel. The data compensation circuit determines at least one compensation grayscale value corresponding to the resultant value. The compensation grayscale value is to be displayed by the target driving channel in a vertical blank period of a frame period in which the current frame is displayed. The target driving channel of the source driver outputs at least one compensation voltage corresponding to the at least one compensation grayscale value in the vertical blank period of the frame period.

The control circuit is configured to generate a plurality of gate scanning control signals and a data transmission control signal. The emission optimization circuit is coupled to the emission compensation circuit and generates a compensated emission signal according to the initial emission duty cycle and the emission compensation estimate, and drive the display panel according to the compensated emission signal.
