A coverless linear light source light guide with hooded bracket for holding a light emitting diode (LED) module to the light guide is disclosed. The hooded bracket is disposed around the light receiving end of the light guide and comprises a hood top, a hood back, two hood sides, and two hood grasps disposed on the hood sides. The hood back comprises the light receiving end of the light guide where light enters the light guide. The hood grasp comprises grasping elements that mate with grasping elements of the LED module to securely hold the LED module to the light guide. The hooded bracket ensures that the distance between the LED module and the light guide and the angle of the LED module and the light guide is constant which maintains optimal alignment and proximity in order to conserve received light intensity and maintain uniformity of emitted light.

A light emitting diode linear light which is high powered and has enhanced uniformity and illumination and is safe to humans, environmentally friendly, and possesses an extremely long lifetime is disclosed. The LED lighting comprises a polygonal light pipe, a light reflector panel, two LED packages, two LED PCBs, a plurality of heatsinks, a plurality of heat pipe assemblies, a protective housing, a back cover, and a diffuser cover. The polygonal light pipe comprises a transparent or semitransparent material. A patterned surface on the light emitting surface of the light pipe diffuses the emitted light. A patterned surface on the surface of the light pipe opposite the light emitting surface reflects light. The plurality of heat pipe assemblies comprise heatsinks and heat pipes. The heat pipes are hollow pipes that are filled with a liquid such as water or coolant and cooperate with the heatsinks to dissipate heat.

High powered light emitting diode linear lighting with enhanced uniformity and illumination

An Abbe prism lens and lens array are disclosed. The lens comprises front lenses disposed on a front surface of the Abbe prism, rear lenses disposed on a rear surface of the Abbe prism, a front bottom reflecting surface, a rear bottom reflecting surface, a left top reflecting surface, and a right top reflecting surface. An aperture cover is positioned over the front surface of the Abbe prism lens and a field cover is positioned over the rear surface of the Abbe prism lens. The aperture cover comprises aperture holes encircling the aspherical front lenses. The field cover comprises field holes encircling the aspherical rear lenses. Light enters the Abbe prism lens and reflects off the front bottom reflecting surface, reflects off the left top reflecting surface and the right top reflecting surface, reflects off the rear bottom reflecting surface, and exits the rear lens of the Abbe prism lens.

A miniaturized linear light source sub-module comprising a symmetrical lens array, a light guide bar with dual reflecting surfaces, at least one light emitting diode light source, and a sub-module housing is disclosed. The symmetrical lens array comprises two identical covers, two identical lens sections, and a middle holder. Each lens section comprises a plurality of lenses disposed on the top and bottom of the lens section. The dual reflecting surface light guide comprises a light emitting surface, a v-shaped light reflecting surface, an asymmetrical saw-toothed light reflecting surface, an apex cut-off surface, and a bottom cut-off surface. At least one light emitting diode light source is connected to an end of the dual reflecting surface light guide. The sub-module housing holds the lens array assembly, the dual reflecting surface light guide, and the at least one light emitting diode light source to form the miniaturized linear light source sub-module.
