A trajectory prediction system for predicting a point of impact of an object shot from a ballistic device is provided. The trajectory prediction system includes an objective lens, an eyepiece lens optically coupled with the objective lens, an image sensor, a processor, and a display electrically connected to the processor and the image sensor. The image sensor, the processor, and the display are disposed between the objective lens and the eyepiece lens. When an external light reaches the image sensor through the objective lens, the image sensor transmits a first signal to the display, and the display shows an image according to the first signal. The processor calculates the trajectory of the object and transmits a second signal to the display, and the display simultaneously shows the image and at least one predictive point of impact according to the first and second signals.

Trajectory prediction system

A sight and methods of operation thereof are provided. In some embodiments, an image is captured via an image capture unit, and a center position is calculated according to the positions of at least three impact points in the image, and a predefined view center of a display unit is set to the center position. In some embodiments, an angle of dip of the sight to a plane is detected via a dip angle detector. A predictive impact point is calculated according to the angle of dip and at least one calculation parameter, and an impact point indication is accordingly displayed in the display unit. When the angle of dip is changed, the predictive impact point is recalculated according to the new angle of dip, and the corresponding impact point indication is displayed.

Sights and methods of operation thereof

A sensing range selectable image sensor module includes a lens defining a first light-sensing area, which allows a relatively larger amount of light to pass, and a second light-sensing area, which allows a relatively smaller amount of light to pass, two sensors respectively arranged at one side relative to the lens corresponding to the first light-sensing area and the second light-sensing area and electrically coupled to a controller for receiving light from the first or second light-sensing area and generating a respective trigger signal selectively receivable by the controller.

Sensing range selectable image sensor module

Disclosed is an image recording apparatus comprising a temperature sensing module, a detecting module, an image capture module and a control unit. The control unit acquires an appropriate high threshold and an appropriate low threshold corresponding to an ambient temperature sensed by a temperature sensing module. The control unit outputs a high threshold voltage and a low threshold voltage to the detecting module for adjusting the sensitivity of the image recording apparatus to suit a variable ambient temperature properly.

Image recording apparatus and control method thereof

Disclosed is an image recording apparatus capable of preventing maloperations when entering into sleep mode. The image recording apparatus comprises a display module, a detecting unit, a power supply unit, a first switch, a second switch and a control unit having an interrupt unit. The control unit controls the first switch in an on-state to supply power to the display module and the detecting unit and executes a corresponding operation. After an idle status of the image recording apparatus exceeds a predetermined time, the control unit disables the interrupt unit and controls the second switch in an on-state and the first switch in an off-state to supply power to the detecting unit via the second switch. After a default time, the control unit enables the interrupt unit, therefore, maloperations when entering into the sleep mode can be prevented.

A charged capacitor switching device for a photoflash is provided and includes a flash control unit, a capacitor charging/discharging unit, a charged capacitor switching unit and an illumination modulator. The capacitor charging/discharging unit coupled to the flash control unit includes a plurality of capacitors connected in parallel and switches coupled thereto respectively. The charged capacitor switching unit determines whether each switch is opened or closed according to a compensation parameter. The illumination modulator compares an environmental illumination and a pre-flash illumination to generate a compared result, determines whether the compared result has reached a threshold, obtains the compensation parameter according to the compared result when the compared result is below the threshold, and drives the flash control unit to generate a flash illumination corresponding to the compensation parameter.
