A spectrometer system with a volume holographic light guide element includes two focusing lenses in addition to the volume holographic light guide element, which has a light guide element and two volume holographic elements. The first focusing lens receives the light emitted by a to-be-tested light source at a first focal plane of the first focusing lens and makes the light converge and form plural collimated light beams that are projected to, and diffracted and coupled into the light guide element by, the first volume holographic element, are then received and coupled out of the light guide element by the second volume holographic element, and are subsequently received and focused on a sensing element by the second focusing lens. Each collimated light beam enters and exits the light guide element at the same angle. The spectrometer system can measure the intensity/chromatic uniformity of a relatively weak point/surface light source efficiently.

A method for reading and writing with holographic storage system includes (a) providing a reference light and a signal light; (b) transferring the reference light and the signal light to an optical storage medium to record an interference grating; (c) changing the reference light and the signal light and repeating the step of providing another changed reference light and another changed signal light to step (b), in which the reference light and the interference grating are one-to-one correspondence; (d) moving the optical storage medium and repeating steps (a) to (c); (e) providing a reading light which includes the reference lights to the optical storage medium to simultaneously read the interference gratings to form an interference result, any one of the reference lights cannot read out the interference gratings recorded by the other reference lights; and (f) moving the optical storage medium and repeating step (e).

A lensless holographic imaging system having a holographic optical element includes: a coherent light source for outputting a first light beam and a second light beam, wherein the first light beam irradiates a first inspection plane to form first object-diffracted light; a light modulator for modulating the second light beam into reading light having a specific wavefront; a multiplexed holographic optical element, wherein the first object-diffracted light passes through the multiplexed holographic optical element, and the reading light is input into the multiplexed holographic optical element to generate a diffracted light beam as system reference light; and an image capture device for reading at least one interference signal generated by interference between the first object-diffracted light and the system reference light. The lensless holographic imaging system has a relatively small volume and relatively high diffraction efficiency.

An image scanning, displaying and lighting system for eliminating color differences is revealed. The system includes an image scanner, a display screen with a second emission spectrum and a lighting device with a third emission spectrum. The image scanner consists of an optoelectronic image capturing and forming system, a plurality of first light sources disposed around the optoelectronic image capturing and forming system and a control module. The first light sources have a first emission spectrum which is a white light composed of a plurality of wavebands with different peak wavelengths. The control module controls the optoelectronic image capturing and forming system to take monochrome images in different colors in time sequence. The second emission spectrum has the same characteristics as the first emission spectrum while the third emission spectrum has the same characteristics as the second emission spectrum.

A method for reading and writing with holographic system includes the following operations: (a) providing a reference light and a signal light; (b) transferring the reference light and the signal light to an optical recording medium, for recording an interference grating; (c) changing the reference light and the signal light and repeating the operations (a) to (b) until M interference gratings are recorded on the optical recording medium; (d) providing a reading light to the optical recording medium, for reading the M interference gratings at the same time to generate an interference result, wherein the interference result is a result that diffraction signals of the M interference gratings interfere to each other; and (e) changing the reading light and repeating the operation (d), for obtaining N interference results. A holographic storage system is also disclosed herein.

A method for reconstructing a surface of an object includes the steps as follows. A light beam is modulated by a spatial light modulator (SLM) and is projected to form a pattern, wherein the pattern has a transmittance distribution in a cosine distribution such that the pattern is formed to become a fringe pattern with a periodic change. A first impulse and a second impulse present within a first period and a second period of the cosine distribution, wherein a position where the first impulse occurs within the first period and a position where the second impulse occurs within the second period are different. The light beam is guided to an object so as to form a scan pattern on the object. The scan pattern is read. According to the scan pattern, a surface profile of the object is calculated.

The present invention provides a method for repairing incomplete 3D depth image using 2D image information. The method includes the following steps: obtaining 2D image information and 3D depth image information; dividing 2D image information into 2D reconstruction blocks and 2D reconstruction boundaries, and corresponding to 3D reconstruction of blocks and 3D reconstruction boundaries; analyzing each 3D reconstruction block, partitioning into residual-surface blocks and repaired blocks; and proceeding at least one 3D image reconstruction, which extends with the initial depth value of the 3D depth image of each of the residual-surface block and covers all the corresponding repaired block to form a repair block and to achieve the purpose of repairing incomplete 3D depth images using 2D image information.

The present invention discloses variable focus spotlight with spin type focusing structure, the variable focus spotlight includes a shell, a driving ring and a focusing module. With the implementation of the present invention, the focusing module slides toward or away from the light source in the shell by rotating a driving ring which pulls the connecting rods penetrating position spiral slits on the shell, so that the variable focus spotlight with spin type focusing structure can easily output a broad beam, a collimated beam, or a beam ranging between the broad beam and the collimated beam according to user's needs to widely promote applications of the variable focus spotlight.

The present invention discloses a high resolution thin device for fingerprint recognition, it includes a transparent plate, an imaging component, an optical sensor and at least one light source; or a high resolution thin device for fingerprint recognition that includes plural transparent plates, plural imaging components, plural optical sensors and at least one light source. With the implementation of the present invention, the fingerprint recognition device provides the following advantageous effects: structural simplicity to improve ease of manufacture and low manufacturing costs; reduction of space occupation enabling further applications; suitable for applications that fills colloid between cover glass and optical sensor; and improving feature classification thus reduces recognition error.

A detecting apparatus for detecting an object includes at least a screen, at least a detecting unit and at least a holding unit. The screen is partial light-permeable and has a first surface and an opposite second surface. The object is disposed adjacent to the first surface of the screen. The detecting unit is disposed corresponding to the object and located adjacent to the second surface of the screen. The holding unit holds the relative distances between the screen, the object and the detecting unit. The detecting unit captures the image of the second surface of the screen so as to calculate the optical field distribution of the object. The detecting apparatus can measure the optical field distribution of an object quickly and has the advantages of low cost and high accuracy.

The present invention discloses an optic distribution meter that includes a testing system and an imaging system. The testing system includes an arc-shaped brace which has an extended object holder; and a rail base which has a first rail. The imaging system, set at a side of the testing system, includes a screen and an image catcher. With the implementation of the present invention, the rail base is able to rotate or move an object to a test angle with very little light blocking of measurements. Besides, with the first rail supporting the object, the incident angle of the light of a light source to the object remains unchanged when the measuring angle of the imaging system is changed.
