Embodiments of this application provide a cell reselection method and system, and an apparatus. The method includes: receiving reselection configuration information from a network device, where the reselection configuration information includes reselection trigger information, the reselection trigger information is used to trigger measurement for cell reselection, and the reselection trigger information includes reselection trigger time information or reselection trigger indication information; and performing measurement for cell reselection based on the reselection configuration information. In embodiments of this application, the reselection configuration information including the reselection trigger information is introduced.

Cell reselection method and system, and apparatus

A communication method and apparatus are provided, where the method includes: A first network device generates and sends a paging message to a second network device. The paging message is used to page a terminal device, the paging message includes first indication information, and the first indication information indicates that a paging range includes a non-terrestrial network NTN cell and/or a terrestrial network TN cell. By applying the foregoing technical solution, the network device may determine an appropriate paging area based on a type of the terminal device or capability information of the terminal device, to avoid sending the paging message in an area that is not supported by the terminal device, so that overheads of paging signaling are effectively reduced.

Communication method and apparatus

This application provides a non-terrestrial network (NTN) communication method and an apparatus. When performing a delay-sensitive communication service, UE may select a cell covered by a satellite since the UE cannot distinguish between a cell covered by a terrestrial base station and the cell covered by the satellite. A first network device determines cell type information of a cell covered by a second network device, where the cell type information indicates that the cell is a terrestrial network communication cell or a non-terrestrial network communication cell; and the first network device sends the cell type information to a third network device.

Non-terrestrial network communication method and apparatus

A report transmission method includes determining a quantity of target reports and, in response to the quantity of target reports being greater than or equal to a first quantity, sending a first report to a first network device. The first report includes one or more target reports. A type of the target report is a first type that includes one or more of an advance measurement report, a logged minimization of drive tests report, an accessibility failure report, a random access report, a radio link failure report, a mobility history report, or a radio link failure-like report. The radio link failure-like report is for logging a first event and/or a second event. The first event is when a quantity of data retransmissions of a terminal device is greater than or equal to a first preset quantity of times and less than a second preset quantity of times.

Report transmission method, apparatus, and system

This application provides a paging method and apparatus. The method includes: A first device receives a first paging message, where the first paging message includes a first list, and the first list includes an area identifier of at least one cell. The first device determines a first cell, where an area identifier of the first cell at a first moment is different from an area identifier of the first cell at a second moment, the first moment is a current moment, and the second moment is earlier than the first moment. When the area identifier of the first cell at the first moment does not belong to the first list, the first device stops paging a terminal device in the first cell. According to the foregoing technical solutions, the first device may effectively page the terminal device, to reduce signaling overheads of the first device, and save power.

Paging method and apparatus

Example communication methods and apparatus are described. One example method includes receiving first information from a first device, where the first information indicates N moments and location information of the first device at the N moments. The first device obtains second information, where the second information indicates a correspondence between the N moments and M area identifiers, or the second information indicates a correspondence between N locations and M area identifiers. According to the foregoing technical solution, the first device sends the location information of the first device at the N moments, so that the M area identifiers corresponding to the first device at the N moments or the M area identifiers corresponding to N pieces of location information can be obtained.

A group handover method is disclosed. The method includes: A first terminal device receives first information from a first network device, where the first information indicates a first resource for carrying fourth information, the fourth information is cell handover information of a plurality of terminal devices, and the first terminal device is one of the plurality of terminal devices; and the first terminal device receives the fourth information on the first resource. This can reduce signaling overheads caused by cell handover of a plurality of users and improve resource utilization.

Group handover method and apparatus

This disclosure provides communication methods, communication apparatuses, and communication systems. One example method includes: A terminal device supporting a first subscriber identity and a second subscriber identity determines to deregister the first subscriber identity from a first network. Then, the terminal device sends a deregistration request message to an access network device by using the second subscriber identity, where the deregistration request message is used to request to deregister the first subscriber identity form the first network, and the deregistration request message carries an identifier of the first subscriber identity.

Communication method, communication apparatus, and communication system

The disclosure provides communication methods and apparatuses. One example method including a first access network device sends a first message to a terminal device and a second message to a core network device. The first message is used to indicate the terminal device to enter an inactive state. The second message carries context information and a first security verification parameter of the terminal device, and the first security verification parameter is used to perform security verification on the terminal device. The first access network device receives a third message from a second access network device, where the third message is used to request the context information of the terminal device. The first access network device sends a fourth message to the second access network device, where the fourth message is used to indicate the first access network device not to provide the second access network device with the context information.
