Operations of a system can include controlling a first communication for a user equipment based on a connection request that comprises an indication of a fall back procedure. The operations can also include, based on a determination that the first communication has completed at the user equipment, releasing a first control of the user equipment. Further, the operations can include delaying a redirection of the user equipment to the network equipment for a second control of a second communication scheduled to occur at the user equipment. Delaying of the redirection is based on a determined network congestion level applicable to the communication network being determined to be at most a defined network congestion level.

Facilitating conditional fast return to stand alone advanced networks after voice fall back based on network congestion awareness

Aspects of the subject disclosure include, for example, identifying a primary serving cell and a secondary serving cell, wherein the primary serving cell facilitates one of attachment, re-attachment or mobility, or any combination thereof, of a mobile device in association with coordination of a wireless service between the primary serving cell, the secondary serving cell and the mobile device. A latency value associated with a message exchange is determined between the primary and secondary serving cells via a messaging interface, and compared to latency requirements, which correspond to a group of mobile service features. A mobile service feature of the group is associated with the wireless service based on the comparison. The wireless service includes a coordinated exchange of wireless signals between the primary serving cell and the mobile device and between the secondary serving cell and the mobile device based on the mobile service feature. System and method for dynamic feature selection based on latency discovery

The disclosed technology is directed towards switching the primary cell in a carrier aggregation scenario to improve performance. Measurement data of a mobile device (user equipment) is evaluated with respect to one or more various criteria such as cell carrier bandwidth, cell carrier load, cell-related capability and other carrier data (e.g., dynamic spectrum sharing versus clean, time division duplex or frequency division duplex), and others. Device conditions such as overheating can be considered as well. The evaluation results in a ranking of primary cell candidates. If a more optimal primary cell (candidate) is available, the primary cell in the carrier aggregation combination is switched to the candidate that is ranked the highest. Switching can be relatively very fast, such as based on already existing layer-1 (L1) and/or layer-2 (L2) measurement data. Layer-3 (L3) measurement data also can be obtained on demand, for example, to use in the evaluation.

Apparatuses and methods for facilitating a selection between carrier aggregation and dual connectivity

Techniques for controlling parameters for uplink transmission associated with a device to facilitate improving a communication condition metric(s) (CCM(s)) of the uplink transmission are presented. A communication management component (CMC) can determine whether CCM satisfies a first threshold CCM. If CCM does not, CMC can modify a parameter(s) to reduce a number of resource blocks or an MCS value to improve the CCM. If respective minimum threshold levels have been reached for the number of resource blocks and MCS value, and CCM still is not satisfying the first threshold CCM, CMC can modify a parameter to increase an amount of repetition of data packets for uplink transmission (unless a maximum threshold amount of repetition is reached). If CCM satisfies an applicable threshold CCM for a defined amount of time, CMC can modify parameters to increase the number of resource blocks, increase MCS value, or reduce repetition of data packets.

Enhancing the robustness of uplink transmission

The fall back procedure can be an 'RRC release and redirect' or an 'IRAT Handover.' The method also can comprise facilitating control of the voice communication for the mobile device and triggering a release of the control of the mobile device from the second network device based on a determination that the voice communication has completed. The fast return procedure can be either a &#x201c;RRC release and redirect' or an &#x201c;IRAT handover.&#x201d; Further, the method can comprise redirecting the mobile device to a third network device selected based on a capability of the mobile device.
