Provided are a method and apparatus for processing immersive media data, a storage medium, and an electronic apparatus. The method comprises: acquiring immersive media data corresponding to a current viewing posture of a user, wherein a three-dimensional viewing space is used to limit viewing content of the user; and rendering the immersive media data corresponding to the current viewing posture, wherein when the current viewing posture is within the three-dimensional viewing space, the acquired immersive media data is rendered; or when the current viewing posture has moved or is moving outside the three-dimensional viewing space, the immersive media data is rendered according to handling information of the three-dimensional viewing space.

Method and apparatus for processing immersive media data, storage medium and electronic apparatus

Methods, systems, and apparatus for processing of three-dimensional visual content are described. One example method of processing three-dimensional content includes parsing a level of detail (LoD) information of a bitstream containing three-dimensional (3D) content that is represented as one geometry sub-bitstream and one or more attribute sub-bitstreams; and generating, based on the LoD information, decoded information by decoding at least a portion of the geometry sub-bitstream and the one or more attribute sub-bitstreams corresponding to a desired level of detail; and reconstructing, using the decoded information, a three-dimensional scene corresponding at least to the desired level of detail. The bitstream conforms to a format organized according to multiple levels of details of the 3D content.

Three-dimensional content processing methods and apparatus

Methods and apparatus for processing of volumetric visual data are described. One example method includes decoding, by a decoder, a bitstream containing volumetric visual information for a 3-dimensional scene that is represented as one or more atlas sub-bitstreams and one or more encoded video sub-bitstreams, reconstructing, using a result of decoding the one or more atlas sub-bitstreams and a result of decoding the one or more encoded video sub-bitstreams, the 3-dimensional scene, and rendering a target view of the 3-dimensional scene based on a desired viewing position and/or a desired viewing orientation.
