An interlock is presented which may be mechanically interconnected with a circuit breaker. The interlock toggles between a locked out position that causes the circuit breaker to trip and prevents closure thereof and a non-locked out position wherein the circuit breaker functions. The interlock includes a frame, a lockout actuator supported by the frame, a reset actuator also supported by the frame and a latching assembly. The latching assembly includes a lockout lever that is responsive to movement of the lockout actuator that is pivotably supported by the frame and a lockout trip rod responsive to movement of the lockout actuator. Also provided is a reset lever that is responsive to movement of the reset actuator and that is also pivotably supported by the frame. The reset lever is configured to prevent movement of the lockout actuator without movement of the reset lever and wherein the lockout trip rod is configured for movement between a locked out position and a non-locked out position.

Disclosed is a racking mechanism for a drawout circuit breaker including a cross shaft movably positioned in an enclosure and at least one input link in operable communication with the cross shaft via at least one connecting link. At least one racking cam is movably positioned in the enclosure and is in operable communication with the input link. Each racking cam has at least one cam slot receptive of a portion of the circuit breaker. Movement of the cross shaft about an axis of the cross shaft is capable of moving the at least one racking cam from an open position toward a closed position with the portion of the circuit breaker disposed in the at least one cam slot, thereby securing the circuit breaker in the enclosure and the at least one racking cam is in the closed position. A method for securing a circuit breaker in an enclosure and a circuit breaker assembly are also disclosed.

A circuit breaker subassembly is disclosed. The subassembly includes a base, an operating mechanism, a one-piece non-conductive rotor disposed within the base, and a plurality of sets of contact arms supported by the rotor. The rotor is disposed in operable connection with the operating mechanism and includes a rotational degree of freedom relative to the base with portions of the rotor disposed between each set of the plurality of sets of contact arms to define separation portions. The operating mechanism includes a frame disposed within the base, a cradle in pivotal connection with the frame, an upper link in pivotal connection with the cradle, and a lower link having a first end and a second end, the first end in pivotal connection with the upper link and the second end in pivotal connection with the rotor at the separation portions.

An electrical distribution apparatus includes a fixed terminal, at least two fingers attached at respective pivot points in the apparatus, and a mechanical spring in operative communication with the at least two fingers, configured to provide tension upon separation of the at least two fingers. The mounting base includes a unitary support platform assemblable to the interior of the electrical panel and having first mounting regions with common structure configured to receive any one of the ROCBs, the non-ROCBs, and the GFCls. The support platform also has second mounting regions configured to receive the communication board. The support platform is configured to assemble adjacent to another support platform in the electrical panel.

A contact arm assembly having a contact arm module is disclosed. The contact arm module includes a set of contact arms, two side plates, a pivot pin, and a set of springs. Each contact arm includes a pivot hole, two contacts, and two spring holders. The two side plates are disposed on an opposing side of the set of contact arms, each side plate having a pivot hole, and first and second support anchors. A first spring support is disposed at the first support anchors of each side plate, and a second spring support is disposed at the second support anchors of each side plate. The pivot pin is disposed through the pivot holes of the set of contact arms and the pivot holes of the two side plates. The set of springs are disposed between one of the first and second spring supports and one of the spring holders of the set of contact arms.
